Presentation: 12oz. brown twist-off, slight fatter than their normal bottles and shorter. Cartoon of Pete and a big fat "ESP" logo. No more Wicked? What's with the historical background? Is this a Samuel Adams' label or a label of clashing falsehoods? Hmm, we smell a marketing storm brewing at Pete's. That would explain all the new billboards in our area. When was the last time you saw them advertise? Could this be an A-B challenger?

Appearance: Light, golden and very clear. A bit of a head when poured, but it went away quickly leaving only a ring of light foam.

Smell: Light grain and faint hop aromas. Soft smelling.

Taste: Very clean tasting, almost too clean. Grain flavours are present with minimal hop and sweetness, tastes stripped of all goodness. Perhaps a product of over filtering? No aftertaste at all, except for that American Lager twang and an odd feeling that you just drank something from a can.

Notes: Not a bad beer for what Pete set out to produce. This basically was produced as an American Lager, and it is indeed just that. More mouth-feel compared to the others (like Bud or Miller) and much more enjoyable. "Hey Pete, we are not smiling, but it was a good beer." - Todd & Jason (see bottle neck shaft label for details.)

Medium yellow gold color, medium head. Aroma is grainy and sweet.
Medium bodied, lighter tasting lager. Mild and smooth tasting. Good malt/hop balance, with a very mild flavor balance. Mouthfeel is round. Finish is clean. Aftertaste is slightly malty.
