I'm gonna be the weirdo on this one apparantly. I had a guy that poured our back patio suggest this. It was a great summer beer to drink after mowing the lawn. It was light, refreshing, and easy to drink. The slight strawberry smell and aftertaste was subtle and just right...not overpowering.

A- Light straw transparent. Nothing spectacular. A very small fizzy head.

S- Strawberry. And I'm a fan of that fruit. It wasn't overpowering but slightly more than subtle. The smell made my mouth water.

T- An easy drinking blonde. The natural strawberry flavor was a background aftertaste. It didn't overpower the mellow beer behind it. Compared to complex beer this wasn't confusing. It was nice and simple with a real strawberry taste on the breath after each sip. If you are a strawberry fan you'll love it.

M- Simple, watery but elegant. Slightly fizzy.

D- Very, very easy to drink. A nice refreshing beer for the summer.

I poured into a pint glass to a small, fleeting white head. It is yellow in color. I could smell the strawberry aroma as I poured. I smells really sweet. It reminds me of Frankenberry cereal. There is a faint beer smell in there, but it is masked quite well.

The taste follows the smell. There is a lot of sweet stawberry taste. It is a very smooth, easy drinking beer. I prefer it in the summer on a lazy 90 degree afternoon after a long night of drrinking the previous night.

I must admit, I was quite surprised at how good this was. It poured a orange/yellow colour with about a finger thick snow white head that lasted about 3 minutes. The smell was a bit malty, and of course, strawberry like. However, the strawberry smell wasn't at all overpowering or offensive otherwise. It was just right. The taste, too, was well balanced having enough maltiness to remain "beer-like" with just enought of a strawberry taste in the background to let you know that there is definately some strawberry flavouring back there. It also leaves a little bit of a toasted malt taste on your palate after to take a sip, but you kind of have to look for it. Mouthfeel was nice and smooth with the right "lack" of carbonation. As such, I bet I could drink a gallon of this stuff. Would make a great hot weather brew. Absolutely fantastic!

12oz bottle from Ron's in Farmington. Golden amber translucent body with a little less than an inch of off-white head that leaves some lacing. Smells sweet, with strawberry dominating the aroma and hints of malt. Tastes sweet and fruity, with strawberry dominating and caramel and biscuit malt in the background and a fairly clean finish. Lighter in body. Pretty drinkable. Not a bad beer overall. Not the most complex or overpowering, but a solid, easy-drinking beer good for this time of year.

i was suprised at the number of poor reviews of this beer. I would not clasify this a chic beer, of the smifnoff ice crowd. This is a fruit beer which happens to be a strawberry flavored brew. IT WILL BE SOMEWHAT SWEET! Knowing that before you drink it, it has a good flavor. It dose have a taste, a beer taste, not a soda taste. I do not know how anyone could compare this to smirnoff ice, it is a REAL beer a FRUIT beer, and a good one at that.

12oz bottle into mug. Wicked embossed on the bottle below the neck.

This was one of my first favorites when I started my journey into the craft beer world.

Gold amber color with a frech vanilla cream colored head that lingers doesn't want to quit; eventually settles to a thin cap. Spotty lacing along the glass.

A little bit of grainy malt, with sweet strawberry aromas all over.

A clean malt base with a little bit of lingering strawberry flavors along with a slight hop bitterness. Thin bodied with light carbonation, giving it a smoothness that goes from start to finish.

I liked it back then, and I like it now. This seems like the perfect beer for a hot summer day, or to introduce someone into craft beers. It's easy to drink, without any intimidating flavors.

Poured from a 12oz. bottle, into a pint glass. The beer poured a clear gold, forming a very thin head, and leaving light spotty lacing. The aroma is intense strawberry. The taste is like an alcoholic strawberry yogurt. This tastes more like a mixed drink than a beer. No hop or malt presence noticable. That said, this is one tasty drink. I always like to throw in a fruit beer during a session to give it a good mix. This beer does just that. Very flavorful and smooth. Drinkability is low, meaning I couldnt drink a sixer of this in one sitting, but still highly enjoyable. Serve this to your non-beer drinking friends.

I am going to take a Hit on the rDev for this but I dont care. I fell in love with the strawberry blonde beer when I was 18 and went to montreal and was able to get alcohol. We went to a bar called Brewtopia and the made this beer. I was sold right then and there. For traditionalists and strict Hop lovers this beer is obviously not for you. This is a great beer to have in the summer sitting on the beach, with dinner, with women etc. maybe there would be more female beer drinkers if we bought them one of these. The drinkability of this beer is off the chart, it is smooth and goes down very easy, its gone before you know it, taste of a very light beer with a hint of strawberry, similiar to the Magic hat #9. Definitely try this beer if you are in to beers flavored with fruit. Come on guys this beer is better then the rating!

To hell with self-respect, but I actually like this stuff, especially on tap. Pours a blonde color with a minimal head. Explosive strawberry aroma. Subdued strawberry taste with obvious malts upfront. Strawberry taste is more prominent on tap Graininess towards the end. Granted, this isn't a beer I purchase all the time, but one that I'll drink if on hand.

I'm surprised at the low ratings of this beer... Was offered this at a music festival a few weeks ago in a bottle. Drank it straight so can't say too much in terms of a head... but I really enjoyed it! Smooth, nice tasting beer. I could see myself drinking this super cold in the summer! Its a beer that I think I'd have no problem drinking a couple of either, not a beer you'll get sick of =)

Appearance- Blond pour with a hint of blush. No real head to speak of though there is a spotty lace.

Smell- Strawberry with subtle scents of malts and grain.

Taste- Subtle taste of strawberry that compliments the malty flavor of roasted grain

Mouthfeel- Medium body with minimal carbonation. Very refreshing feel.

Drinkability- This beer is a great fruit brew. The strawberry compliments, rather than overpowers the malty base flavor of the drink. It has a light mouthfeel than allows the drinker to truly appreciate the flavor.

very good seasonal summer beer I pick up, I enjoy
the slight strawberry taste. Served cold with a fruit salad
and some thai food or something spicy similar. Another
winner from Pete's. The strawberry taste as i stated is
slight so it should put people off they may not like a "fruity"
beer, it just adds to the refreshment of this style beer.

Pours a slightly reddish/yellow, clear. Not much of a head. Smells like a Strawberry Float, taste is strawberry and grain.

This beer is a great fruit brew. The strawberry compliments, rather than overpowers the malty base flavor of the drink. It allows the drinker to truly appreciate the flavor. A very refreshing drink good for hot summer nights especially.

color- light caramel, clear. no residual head.

smell- upfront strawberry with floral and hop aromas. not much malt. corn?

taste- light and fruity with hops. hints of malt.

mouthfeel- bubbly, like a sparkling ale.

drinkability- overall was a really nice refreshing beer for something light. It's nice that the strawberry really comes through. If you expect a blonde to have a bit more of a malty backbone this probably isn't your beer.

This had some nice fizzy initial head, but it went down quickly, and had almost no lacing. Nice scent, wheat like and malty with a nice slight strawberry nose. Nice taste, malty and clean with a nice strawberry flavor running through it from the beginning to end; the strawberry taste is stronger than any other flavor, but it's still not overpowering. Goes down good, if a bit fizzy.

This one pours a strong golden color with a white head that hangs around for a short time. The smell is great. It is a dominant strawberry aroma to this beer. It reminds me of those strawberry creme hard candies. The taste follows the nose. The taste is of strawberries mostly and very light hops. The mouthfeel is medium with medium carbonation. It's a decent drinkable beer. Not something I personally would buy on a regular basis but good.

Appearance is about the same as a gold/hay tint with a very white head of foam that produces a little lace. Aroma is of (as advertised) strawberries with a hint of malt. Initial taste consists of sugary strawberry jelly, and gives one the feeling that it is going to be too sweet – but bitter hops come to the rescue. Grainy malts assert themselves to make a complex brew. Ends clean and dry. If you are a fruit beer lover, or order strawberry margaritas – try it!

Pours a clear gold that looks like it has a slightly reddish tint to it (no doubt from the berries). Decent amount of head with some lacing on the way down. Nose is sweet with obvious strawberry influence and the taste is smooth and bubbly with a noticeable, thought not over-pronounced strawberry flavor on the palate. Definitely drinkable, and definitely a clean brew.

A - Crisp golden to orange colored body. Light and smooth white head with a reasonable amount of carbonation feeding it.

S - Fruity bubble gum aroma on top of a malty base.

T - Pale malts with a rich bery fruit taste that accents the malt. Very nice taste that is not too fruity and overwhelming.

M - Soft and smooth with little coarse texture to note.

~ This is a drinkable beer. Its a winner for a springtime cookout, a summer boat ride or a fall ball game. This beer is classified here on BA as a fruit beer but I beg to differ. This is a light ale beer with fruit ingredients.

Appearance: Orangey yellow in hue. Has a thick, bubbly white head that takes a while to dissipate. Looks appetizing.

Aroma: The strawberry is right up front - sweet and fresh smelling. It smells almost like strawberry jam cooking on the stove. Not too overpowering, not cloying at all. It's just enough to let you know you are getting a strawberry beer but not so much that you feel like you are drinking strawberry flavored soda

Taste: It's good. Mostly wheat with some strawberry. The strawberry is integrated well into the beer - it isn't very forward, isn't too sweet.

Mouthfeel: It's light and smooth. Goes down easy and doesn't overpower the palate. Definitely drinkable.

Pete's Strawberry blonde, even after a 6er, didn't leave me with the taste of strawberries. I was recomended this on the basis that it was the BEST BEER EVER. Not even close to that. Still a decent brew, though. Nice in the summer, not in Autumn. I would give Pete's another shot.

It poured a golden straw color and had about a half inch head that faded quickly, leaving a lace around the glass. It smelled a little of strawberries. The taste had strawberry and hops upfront but disappears fast. Leaves you dry. Drinkable, chugable actually. Nice on a hot day.

Light golden body with a fizzy white cap. Decent lacing all the way down.

Smell is light malt and strawberry. No hops can really be found above the fruit but it is a fruit beer. Slightly odd twinge on the end, can't really make it out.

Taste is pretty well balanced, much better than the older ones. Strawberry melds well with the light malt and hop character and finishes clean with a light strawberry flare.

Given that this is a strawberry flavored lager, it seems about right. Not a bad drink but not something I would get regularly. Good to get your thirst down on a hot day.

A good offering from Pete's. Poured out to a golden yellow color with medium carbonation and a nice head that held up for longer than expected.Scent was slightly sweet, aroma of strawberries were noted. Flavors of corn, malt and hops were detected. Smooth and crisp mouthfeel. Not bad at all. Decent brew overall, and I would recommend this for the lager lover looking for something different. Recommended.

From bottle to glass

A- Rich gold color, nice but nothing too crazy.
S- Great! This has a very pleasant smell of strawberry. It makes for a wonderful aroma while you are drinking the beer.
T-it's a smooth taste, you get the fruity flavor up front and a smooth malt finish.
M- Smooth not too intense.
D- It's good, but I couldn't imagine drinking a lot of them in a night.
