Bought a 11 liter keg. Delivered on time. The serving was correct from first to last pour.

This is not a pasteurized beer, the keg must remain cold while it lasts.

A - Very dark color, like a coke with head.

S - Hints of coffee and little chocolate, expected a stronger smell.

T - Following with the coffee, the chocolate and malt.

A thick beer for the mexican palate but with high drinkability, great for cold weather.

For me the best mexican beer by far. Worth to buy a keg.

I had this on tap in a Mezcaleria in Mexico city called "La Nacional".
They have a nice, long list of mexican microbrews

Appearance: Dark brown w nice brown head.

Aroma: Coffee, spices.

Taste: Malts, coffee, chocolate and wood.

Wonderful Mexican Porter!
Happy to have tried this as my first Mexican Craft beer.

I had Cosaco Negra on tap in a restaurant in Mexico city named "El Convite" who has a wide selection of craft beers from diferent parts of the world and most of the mexican craft beers.

A: Cloudy, dark brown. Nice brown head and good retention.

S: Coffee, wood, spices.

T: Roasted malts, coffee, bitter chocolate, smoked wood.

M: Medium body.

D: The drinkability of this beer is very high. It´s not very easy to find since it's not available on bottle. Every time I see it in a place where it's sold, they run out of it very fast.

Craft beer is growing in Mexico, and Cosaco is a very nice example.

This beer is made at Mineral del Monte, a small city at the Mexican state of Hidalgo.

It is served on a few bars an restaurants in Mexico city, but you can order a keg directly from the brewer owner. The keg has to be ordered five days before your event.

So we ordered an 11 liter keg, and it was delivered cold and in time.

As expected, the first serving had a lot of foam, once it regulates the pressure we got a nice large head, with a clear-brown color that lasts for a long, long time.

The color of this beer is very dark. The smells is malty with some trace of coffee.

The taste is intense, creamy, with chocolate and coffee.

It is a good try for this microbrewery, I hope that someday makes its products more accessible to the public.

If you are able to find this beer somewhere, ask before if it is fresh, because it is not pasteurized and it can quickly degenerate.

Good beer, another great job form these guys, it is a shame that is hard to find all around MExico City, just some cafes have it and not all the time. The hea dis impressive and last for ever. The colour is very dark. Features of coffee and toasted grains ar ein the taste.
