San Miguel Selecta has a thick, off-white head and a clear, tan appearance, with moderate lacing. The aroma is of pronounced white bread crust. The flavor is fairly sweet and toasty, with corn chip and some hop bitterness, which is unusual for a marzen. San Miguel Selecta has a medium body and a dry finish.

Poured from 330mL bottle into a wine glass. Best by 11/3/24.
Appearance: copper-golden hue with no haze and a finger of frothy ivory foam atop.
Smell: lightly sweet and malty. It’s not bad, although the volume on the aroma is really low.
Taste: a little sweet with a pretty nice malty flavor and a lightish bitterness. For a Euro strong lager, it’s really not bad at all.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: this is a pretty inoffensive beer, which makes it among the best Euro strong lagers I’ve ever tasted.

Cerveza con una cabeza espumosa duradera; ligera y de baja carbonatación. Aroma a lúpulo y algo de caramelo. En boca es ligeramente amarga, con muy poco de malta. Mejor que una habitual San Miguel pero esperaba algo más.

A 330ml bottle brought home from Lanzarote. Pours a clear amber colour with a small stable white head that leaves lacings. Aroma has grain & malt present. Tastes of caramel, vanilla, toffee, grain & malt with a light bitter aftertaste.

Was never much a fan of San Miguel, def one of my least favorite beers of all time.
Deep roasted malty aroma, hint of chocolate and coffee. Fairly good in fact...
Taste is quite carbon dioxidey, simple, fairly tasteless. Not much to write about...
Neither refreshing, fruity, complex or deep/rich. Fairly pointless beer really

They sell it as a select beer but is a completely average beer. A bit better than the typical spanish macro junk but nothing exceptional. Simply passable. AVG 2.5.
13 Oct 2016. From Dia. In Teku glass. Watching Los Soprano 4x08. Sweetly alcoholic. Not too much unpleasant but I think Id better drink a standard cheap macro lager than this. Avg 2
28 agosto 2021. En botella. De Hipercor. Bastante mejor de lo que la recordaba. Con buen cuerpo y más sabor a malta de lo habitual en industriales. Anima a trago largo. Avg 3.5

Wonderful roasted chocolatey malts with depth. Followed by herbal hops and an alcohol ester taste. Great full mouthfeel.
