For the location it's not bad. I found a bottle of Chimay Red there once and was astounded. Considering the fact that this store is where it is, I'm surprised they have much of anything beyond the standard macro-crap. Definitely the best place to find beer in Brownsville, so it works when I go home to visit the family. The selection consists of the standard imports that everybody has and not much else. Good for finding a six pack of Shiner or the occasional Optimator but don't expect anything special. I usually buy beer up at college before I go home to make sure I have something.

While the address is Paredes Line Road, the HEB is really off 802 (Ruben Torres Blvd). It is not far East off 77/83 in what seemed to be a more affluent section of Brownsville.

The quality seemed well done with little dust on the bottles and the service is pure grocery store, meaning very little. The selection was what was surprizing. In this store the selection was pretty well done with some shelf tags indicating beers like Stone and others that would have been welcomed sights if they had not been sold out. There were a few belgians and things not found elsewhere. Most of the better selections were in the hot beer area, but no other good selection has been spotted in the Brownsville area so this HEB was as welcomed as an old friend.
