Located right along route 1 in Greenwich is a Whole Foods location.
As you may know, it is a grocery store chain which was started in Austin, Texas many years ago and then grew. They try to focus on high quality foods, and make the same attempt for beer. The selection overall is small. They have some macros like Guinness, Pilsner Urquell, Blue Moon and then some scattered craft beer such as Blue Point, Rogue, Dogfish Head...and then popular Belgian beer such as Chimay, Saison Dupont.
So, if you have the means to pay for the bill at Whole Foods, you will find some nice beers here in addition to the tasty food

This place has definitely changed since the last review! Whole walk-in fridge dedicated to beer, knowledgable staff who stock the shelves. Tons of great choices, always changing what's in stock.

Crap selection. dont go.

flew into White Plains airport and tried to search out some beer stores in the area. This one should not be on BA. No selection except average liquor store stuff. I kept walking around looking for the craft section. DO NOT GO.

Stopped in here on a Sunday. Well unknown to me there are no beer sales in Connecticut on Sundays. I did however hunt out this dismal beer selection and really wasn't upset that I couldn't buy anything.

This is a very nice upscale grocery type store but the beer section was flacid and weak. A couple wire racks at the end of two ailes with beers strewn anywhere they could fit and one end cap refrigerator with a few more beers. Nothing out of the ordinary or I would have went back on Monday too buy.

I also asked an employee where the beer section was not expecting it to be on wire racks (walked right past them) and he acted like beer was for Ohioans:). Seriously.

There's really not much going for this place save for the exclusive North Coast brews. Aside from those, I could get just about everything else they had virtually anywhere in the Northeast/New England: the limited brands they carry included Magic Hat, Brooklyn, Dogfish Head, Corsendonk, etc. Not even a wide variety within brands either, but I guess that's due largely to the limitied space dedicated to beer: there's one refridgerator sized cooler that's flanked by metal shelving stocked with beer on either side of it. This place is boring and uninspired overall. Unless you want the NC brews, there's no need to visit.

I'll admit it, I love Whole Foods Markets. Tons of fresh foods, meats, veggies, breads, cheese etc etc and as a bonus @ some of the stores sell BEER ! What a bonus. In the upscale burgh of Greenwich. this WFM is smaller then expected. Had a sample or three of Brie cheese with pepper/cranberry jelly, yum. The beer is located at the end of one of the aisles, in 2 small display racks and also one small cooler. Not an extensive selection, but several quality selections were available. (Don't expect bargains at this or any "whole paycheck markets".) I picked up some of the Cru D'or, also the organic stout and Saison from North Coast. An added bonus was the chance to buy frozen pizza from Vermont flatbreads. All in all a worthy beer and food stop.
