Spotted this one at the supermarket. Will admit that the logo was the purchasing impetus, a neat flower ditty in what otherwise appears to be an English football kit. I might have been had.
STYLE: Czech Pilsner
ABV: 6.3%
LOOK: Flimsy pencil with a tornado of carbonation settling under a pretty decent, milky head. Definitely a stark contrast between the top half-finger and the rest of my full but not really full tulip.
NOSE: Garbanzo beans, dry towel, oats. Light spice, maybe white pepper, deep in the recesses. More flower stems than floral.
MOUTH: It won't satisfy any craving, you have to get past the too-bitter head to taste what's there. Light oats, soft pepper, generic flowers, empty fog. Despite that, it borders on refreshing and the finish is rather subtle and nice, a fleck of malty sweetness. I'm somewhat unsurprised to find a certain Northeast ownership lurking in the background. (taken from written notes. Date unknown. Probably ~2012)
Bomber into a duvel tulip.
Appearance - Pearl white head without much stick but decent retention. Cloudy yellow body. 3
Smell - Banana. In a blind smell test. I 'd think this was a hefe. 5
Taste - Bitter metal with thin grass. 2.25
Mouthfeel - Astringent. Light body with somewhat creamy finish. 2.75
Overall - Appearance and smell of a hefe, taste of an ESB. 2.75

Too bad this is retired. It was surprisingly good. Pours a light yellow color, a bit cloudy with a decent white foamy head. Good carbonation, minimal hoppiness. Very refreshing.

This was a tasty treat. A bit of a break from all the over the top and punch you in your mouth flavors. This one was an experiment with subtlety. A fine pilsener but with a nice floral note. This definitely lives up to the name, it is a very refreshing take.

From the 650 ml. bottle. Sampled on June 25, 2014.
The pour is a pilsener-looking pale yellow with a huge white head and active carbonation. Great clarity.
The aroma has a notable grain ester but there is also a kind of hay or grass thing going on. A little buttery. Low hops.
The body is low to medium and reasonably smooth.
The taste is grainy, grassy, and ends somewhat clean. The sweetness sticks around to the end too. It did not blow me away but it was less than $3.00.

This one's bright gold, clear with a little chill haze. It grows a pure, clean white head that's fluffy and craggy, about one finger tall. It remains a full fluffy half finger for the full session, dropping patching behind.
There's a little bit of white fruit flesh with some biscuit balanced by light floral bitterness with an herbal touch in the smell.
Grassy, floral and herbal gentle hops bitterness comes against some honey sweetness and biscuit. It has a hint of spiciness.
The leafy, herbal note adds a light dryness in a light body that has a nice heft to it. it's consistently crisp and nicely smooth. It's pretty clean, with a touch of grain coming through a little.

Poured into an oversize wine glass. Color was a light golden amber with a white lacy head, with a bit of side cling. Aroma was slightly fruity with a hint of floral. Flavor was sweet up front, but then shifted to a bitter tart. Almost a bit on the sour side. Coated very nicely, with a good amount of carbonation in the mouth. Overall was a bit disappointing. The flavor just seemed wrong for the style, and was just bizarre.
