Lots and lots of drafts, but nothing really unusual offered. Kind of a yuppie atmosphere but it would be a fun place to hang with your stuck up friends. The food was good and the lunch special was very reasonable. Overall a good, but not phenomenal experience.

Best happy hour on earth. About 15 half price apps -had the spicy tuna roll, chicken lettuce wraps and noodle chicken, as well as one of the pizzas.
and all were a+. So many great beers on tap for $5.25/pint from a wide variety of breweries during the 3-6pm happy hour.

The key with Yard House is to go there during happy hour (3-6 Mon-Fri). Then you can get great appetizers and pizza for basically 5-8 dollars a dish. There is a location over in West Valley at Westgate if you live on the west side of town. I think it's technically in Glendale.

The food is great. Appetizers include everything from boneless chicken wings to sushi to an awesome spinach-artichoke dip my wife and I get almost every time we're there. The pizzas are good too, my favorite being a Thai-Chicken pizza that's got Thai Sweet Chili sauce on it instead of marinara.

The beer selection is pretty much perfect as far as restaurants go. They have Stone's Sublimely Self-Righteous Ale (Black IPA), St. Bernardus ABT 12 (Belgian Strong Dark), and probably over a hundred other beers to choose from. This part can get expensive and probably requires a DD for the night if you really start trying things, but when you're like me and you have kids, hitting up happy hour at 4:30 on a Tuesday and being able to order a Ballast Point Sculpin IPA for a reasonable price is enough to make it worth it.

Great restaurant, great beers, I'll keep going here as long as they're open.

I've visited this establishment a few times as it's very close to where I work. As you walk in, you walk by a glass window through which you can see the tons of kegs that they have for the beers on the menu.

The selection of beers is diverse, eclectic, interesting, and high quality. I would highly recommend going with a designated driver because they have some very interesting high abv Belgian Strong Ales.
The food is also amazing, but a little pricy. My favorite is the sushi roll (yes…singular). It is really one giant roll, served as an appetizer I believe, but is more than enough to stand as a meal.

The servers there have always been friendly and fast.

I'm actually surprised by all the love this place is getting on BA. While the selection is the best you get anywhere, the food is way overpriced and not that good, and the three times I went both myself and my girlfriend our beers felt and tasted like they'd been tapped a month prior. Even things you'd think would sell like crazy (the last time I went I ordered a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale) were undercarbonated and bad.

I guess when you want selection on tap you're going to be sacrificing quality but for my money I'll just be headed out to buy bottles to take home.

Went here on a busy Saturday night out. The Yard House may be a chain and it's located in a huge "open air lifestyle center" on the suburban fringe of the city, but I really didn't mind too much. A bit uncharacteristic of me. Not a free seat at the bar. Somehow got a huge booth for two of us in about 10 min. after we expected a long wait. My first was a Deschutes Mirror Pond Ale. My wife, fan of wheats, had the Breckenridge Agave Wheat. On a tip from a friend who had been to Breckenridge Brewery recently, had a Vanilla Porter...awesome. Finished post-dinner with some of my first local beers from Four Peaks, 8th St. Ale and Kiltlifter, and loved them both. The beer selection was enormous and walking around the giant oval bar just checking out the tap handles, I felt like a kid in a candy store. Expecting food on par with that of Applebee's or Chili's, I was pleasantly surprised. Steak salad came with plenty of delicious strips of steak and it was huge. A burger and sweet potato fries was tasty and hit the spot, matching well with beers. Plenty of TV's around for sports-watching or whatever as well, and not really a bad seat in the house.

This is the future of craft beer in America, a commercialized profitable way of bringing it to market. 100 taps in industrial steel bar, and covering pipes, trained who can move around. Smething for everybody, very crowded at night with 7 minute wait despite speed. Classic rock, who can argue with that? Fast service during the day, and you can get away from set samplers. Big quantity orders. The house beers, despite being brewed by Firestone, were rather ho-hum, they can do better. If you are on the cutting edge of craft beer, if you are part of that growing small and mostly young group, there are other excellent smaller places for you, some of which will survive. If you are a mainstream average beer drinker out there not a geek, this is the future of where you will drink beer.And that's The Word.

this is an oasis in the desert. with 114 taps, i can easily forgive their false claim of "world's largest selection of draft beer." at least 20 taps are crap, and several more are run of the mill, but that still leaves a big selection. brands like green flash (excellent ipa!), anderson valley, bear republic, dogfish head, and stone. impressive display of taps. large selection of appetizers, including sushi. this is a fun place, popular but not crowded. but at $5.50 a pint, try to visit during happy hour.

Out of the norm for me but I liked it. If you have been to an Old Chicago, it is along those lines. The servers were excellent!!! The beer selection was good. I expected a vast selection of Butt and Poors products but was disproved immediately. I sat down, opened the menu and saw Rogue Old Crusty 06 amongst the selection and many Washington beers that were just my flavor. I was pleased with the food as well. Th manager looks like Fabio and so that had me laughing after a few brewskys. It is in an outdoor mall with a movie theater outisde. Great place for a weekend getaway. Went back two more times before I left and will keep going back.

Took the family out for dinner to the Yard House at Desert Ridge on Tatum last evening.

Arrived at 8 and waited for 30 minutes for a booth that could accommodate 5 people. While waiting I was able to peer through the windows into the huge keg room that accommodates the 120 beers, which is very impressive.

Ordered: Salads, Burgers, Crab Cakes as entrees and the food and service was very good. Got the familiar ‘deer in the headlights look’ from our server when I had a few questions on their beers. In the future I swear I will not bother. The desserts of Lemon Soufflé and Crème Brulee were outstanding.

To the beer: I ordered a snifter of Rogue “Old Crusty” and my daughter had the Strongbow Hard Cider. Both were delivered ice cold…so cold that I had to wait 15 -20 minutes with my hands warming the snifter before it had warmed enough to a proper temperature to drink.

Their happy hour is the time to go, as their prices are a bit steep. I only had the one beer as I was not up to taking the time to warm up a pint of another beer.

The Yard House located at the Westgate City Center has a large seating area, inside and out, parking is not a problem, with parking lot B just a short stroll from the front door. 113 taps, selection, amazingly only 8 of these are macros, majority craft beers with a fair to middling export selection. Staff was courteous, fairly knowledgeable, and the service good, as this joint was a hoppin’ on Saturday afternoon. Food menu standard restaurant/pub fare, prices a bit pricey, beer prices also a bit high, but hey, you pay for ambiance, selection, location and quality.

We dropped in on a Friday night recently, and luckily we called ahead. The place was packed and there were were dozens of people waiting around holding pagers that would indicate a table was ready. But since we'd called ahead, we were seated immediately.

The music was a bit loud, but you could still hold a conversation. I thought the food (southern fried chicken) was very good, and my wife (greek salad) thought it was just OK. The brownie sundae is a must-have, even though you'll be bloated afterward.

The server was pretty knowledgable and came back to the table reasonably often, though it did take several minutes for her to bring drinks when they were ordered. The place was packed though, to be fair, and she never abandoned us.

The food menu was quite varied for a place like this, and with 120 beers on tap, you'd have to be pretty darn picky to complain.

For two dinners, three beers, and two deserts, the tab came to over $70, which is steep. Again, the food and drinks were very good, but that's the kind of price you'd expect to pay at a place that doesn't have TVs on the wall and loud music. A nice treat, but a little too rich to visit very often.

Yardhouse is an interesting dilemma for the BA.

Beer selection is stunning.
Food is amazing.

But it's extremely overpriced and sometimes the taps aren't so fresh. Moreover, the atmosphere is rather yuppyish but at least they play hard rock nonstop, and only hard rock. Spacious room is good, not smoky at all, and even when packed you can still hold a civil conversation with your tablemates.

They started out with a nice beer day all day on Monday, which was essentially an all day happy hour (even on belgians!). Then they axed that.

Then it was every day before dinner AND every night after 10pm. I went here frequently for the 10pm happy hour. Then they axed that too, except for Thursday nights only from 10-11pm only. WTF? Only 1 hour one night a week? Are they serious?

Pizza is good, onion rings are great (not sure if $8 great though), and the homemade chips are a must-order item.

Hit the late night happy hour for the best bang for your buck, if you can squeeze in that one hour timeframe into your busy schedule!

I was on vacation in Phoenix and saw ads for this place, so I thought I'd check out their claim of having the most taps on earth...

Great atmosphere. Kegs are all in a room in the back with windows that you can look into. Lines run through piping near the ceiling to the bar area; I believe there were 135 taps in all.

Selection is very good: I had Dead Guy Ale, Racer 5 (yum), Kiltlifter (local brew), and a few others. Beers are concentrated on West Coast brewers; few Belgians on tap.

Service was great; I went in the afternoon, when it wasn't too crowded, and the bartender made me a small custom sampler. Only had an appetizer, but it was good.

Visited Arizona while watching the Skins and Cards play. Did a bit of research and decided to try this place. Very large sports bar type bar/restaurant. Plenty of seating at tables, booths and at the bar. Wasn't overly crowded at around 2pm on a Saturday when we got there. Huge selection of taps. Lots of micros from around the US and your normal selection of BMC beers as well. We had plans for the rest of the day, so we each had three beers before we had to leave. Had a Rogue Hazelnut, Hop Ottin IPA and a Stone IPA. Was worried about the freshness of the taps, but they were all fine. Had a burger that was decent, but a bit overpriced. The beers cost of $5 a piece, but they have a decent happy hour sale. The bartenders and waitstaff were very attentive and were willing to shoot the shit for a while...but then again, it wasn't that busy at the time. All in all a pretty nice place with good beers, decent food and a freindly staff.

My final stop in Phoenix as we were on the way to the airport. Gotta eat, and a beer (or two) before the flight home wouldn't hurt, either.
This Yard House is located in the Desert Ridge Mall on the NE corner, not far from the Rock Bottom Brewery. Yard House has their standard corporate yuppie-chic interior; lots of dark wood, brushed stainless steel and glass. The racetrack-shaped bar dominates the center of the front half of the interior, surrounded by tables and booths. To the rear is the kitchen area to the left and the keg room to the right. The kegs and taplines can be viewed through windows as you walk to the restrooms in the back.
The Yard House boasts a large number of taps, at least one hundred. Yes, there are the usual assortment of macros, pseudo-craft brews and the like but there are also some real gems once you take a closer look. SN Bigfoot, Gulden Draake, Tripel Karmeliet, Corsendonk Abbey Brown Ale, SN Celebration, Bear Republic Racer 5 IPA, plus a sizeable number of taps dedicated to local beers provide for a wide range to choose from. I opted for a goblet of Tripel Karmeliet and a pint of New Belgium's 2º Below Winter Ale. Both were quite tasty though I thought the T.K. was missing a bit of carbonation. And here's where I get to the sticking point I have with bars or pubs running huge numbers of taps; some brews don't see much action and aren't switched out very often. So the beer sits and gets a bit stale. This may not happen to the BMC's on the taplist but can easily befall a quality brew that may go unnoticed by all but the most discriminating (or adventurous) beer lover.
The food was quite good and plentiful. The service was very attentive and took good care of the four of us. The waitress went to extra effort to take care of my young son. The prices are a bit steep if you get there in the evening after happy hour ($6 a pint) but for the lunch crowd it was reasonable.
The Yard House is a good place to go if you're with a group that has varying tastes in beer (mixed drinks are available, too). From macros to gateways to beers for the beer enthusiast, everyone could find something to appeal to their tastes.
