A - Dark brown with ruby highlights and a substantial tan head.

S - Mostly chocolate aromas accompanied by some roast character and fruity esters.

T - Roasy coffee flavors dominate with a great balance of chocolate, black malt, and a good bitterness.

M - medium full bodied with a slight carbonation giving this beer a great balance.

This was a very good beer, perhaps a slight bit astringent but I would expect this from the grains used... Good balance, and very drinkable.

Recieved a pint with a cap of creamy tan foam. Served in a standard nonic. The body was deep brown/ mahogany. Clear of sediment.

Smell was minimal. Roasted malts.

Taste was roasty bitterness. Light tartness. Chocolate, cocoa powder notes. Rich but not stout-like. Very refreshing and easy to drink.

Mouthfeel was prickly and medium bodied.

Pours a very nice dark brown color, nice carbonation, nice one-finger plus creamy off-white head, ton's of sticky lacing left behind. The nose is malty, nice chocolate note. The taste is malty/chocolate notes. Medium body. Overall a tasty brew.

Appearance: Deep Brown with caramel colored head.

Smell: Toffee and roasted malt in abundance. Spot on with almost, dare I say, an Imperial aroma to it.

Taste: Toffee with bitter chocolate hints followed by a coffee hint at the finish.

Mouthfeel: Lively carbonation keeps lifting the aromas back into the nose, I like this beer quite a bit.

Drinkability: Thank you master may I have another!
