Pours light golden color with very thin white head. Smell - malts, honey, some grassy hops. Taste - clean, a bit of honey upfront, followed buy malts, semi dry somewhat bitter finish. Pretty smooth and refreshing beer. Above average lager. Drinkable.

Bottle. I bought this one because the label stood out a litte.

Poured a clear golden color with an averaged sized white head. Straw and grass aroma. Also a little funky. Some sweet malts in the taste but still a little funky (but not in the 'good' way funky).

Obtained from 'Rhythm and Booze' Cleethorpes. This review is of a brown 330ml bottle. The second lager in one of my lager drinking evenings, it came bottom in scores out of the three reviewed that night.

Poured into one of my Veltins Pilsner stemmed glasses, it looked fine. A typical pale lager, clean and bright. Good white head which tried to stay but fell away towards the end of the drink.

No aroma worth mentioning, gets my standard 3 for lager non-smell.

A bit thin and watery, great for a sunny day by the pool maybe, but not a cold winters night in the UK. I should have held my lager evening in the summer. This had no great flavours or tastes to elaborate on, just a lager and another country ticked off in my quest to drink around the world.

Bottle from Maaza resturant. Pours a clear light golden color with a small white head. A light malt and grassy aroma. The taste was quite nice; smooth and clean, light malts and grasses. Very crisp and clean flavor. A nice Pale Lager. Smooth and enjoyable, but not my favorite style.

Pours a golden color with a white head. Very nice head retention and thin lacing.

I'm picking up a spicy aroma in the nose that I cannot pin down. Not much else.

Spiced malt taste with mild hops and a slight bitter finish.

Medium bodied in the mouth with simple carbonation.

Overall this is just another average beer. It was quite refreshing but it is surely nothing special.

I had never heard of this stuff before and I was in an import mood, specifically from different countries not from Europe.

Appearance was a mild yellow with barely any head. It looked like a typical lager.

Smell was mild in spices, but nothing too fancy.

Taste was good however for a lager. This was pretty refreshing and contained a subtle bitter bite towards the end. It tasted just like Red Stripe. Not a bad lager at all.

Mouthfeel was pretty watery and basic. Nothing too special, but not awful either.

Drinkability was pretty top notch. It's a good lager, not great, but not terrible either. An average beer with a cool bottle.

12oz brown bottle bought as a single. Poured into a pils glass. A spa like carbonation races to the top and supports a white creamy head. Light golden body.

I wasn't sure if I'd had this before as the label now states "Casa Beer" rather than the Casablanca label I've had at morrocon restaurants. Cooked vegetables and raw grain make up the bulk of this brew. Astringent. This is a bad macro lager.

Not clean or refreshing. Honestly not sure how this can sell other than for the novelty factor or beer hunters trying everthing once. Pass.

Dumped it into the glass really quickly, causing a two inch head to form. Lacing left as it falls. The body is a slightly hazed pale yellow gold.

Semi sweet smell of malt and floral hops. Reasonably fresh smelling and a little bit enticing.

Sweetness up front that almost seems a little sugary, then a strongly metallic flavour takes over the finish. Metal taste dominates and lingers.

Mouthfeel is actually pretty reasonable considering the style. Light but not watery, and the carbonation is refreshing, not fizzy.

Finish is a turn off, but otherwise it is palatable.

Beer from an Islamic it brewed somewhere in secret?

Decent looking enough lager, richer head than most and it sticks around as does some lacing. Some cooked veggies tend to mask the bready malt and floral hop that is there. Taste is quite decent given it's classmates. Aforemention bready-like malt and hop make an appearance as does a slight metaliic twang. Lighter in body, but also slick and smooth going down. Wouldn't mind another in a cafe in Maroc if I could avoid detection by the religious police ;)

Pours a slightly hazed straw gold with a white head that leaves a pretty fair amount of lacing on the way down. Nose is barely there with a dried lemon tone and a bit of grain attribute as well. Flavor is slightly bitter citric. A touch of metallic edge to it. Feel is standard with carbonation. Drinkable, I guess. Nothing to really write home about. If I were in Morocco, I am sure my choices would be limited, so it would have to do. But for here in the U.S., no great shakes (but a little bit better than I had expected).

Poured into a regular drink cup.
It is essentially non-descript, yellow, white head, little retention. Aroma and taste are bland, little noticeable malts, no hoppiness at all. It went decently on a very hot day in Florida, but not a lot better than Bud or Miller.

Had this served in a bar in Rabat.

Very slightly chilled bottle that was served in a small pint glass.

Pure gold color, with little lasting head.

Smell is sweet with some sulphur.

This beer is about as cat piss as cat piss can get. Sweet malt, some sulfur and very little hops.

That being said. I had this beer in Morocco. If you can get any beer in a Muslim country you are lucky. Its just hard to come by. This is a beer that you drink because you want a beer and you want to tell people you had a Moroccan beer. Thats really it. I wouldn't go out of your way to seek this beer out but I would certainly recommend it if you are in Morocco just because the others are not very good. Its very much like the Bud of Morocco.

Beer bottle (25, 33 cl), tasted in 2000.
Appearance: white foam, short persistency, pale golden colour, limpid
Smell: good malty nose with floral notes
Taste and mouthfeel: dominant malty, slightly bitter in the final
Drinkability : an international lager, without real personality

A - Pours a clear golden colour with a few centimetres of frothy white head that quickly fall away.
S - Grainy with some grassy notes.
T - Along the same lines as the smell with a slight dry ginger twang.
M - Light bodied with medium carbonation.
D - At least some boring beers are sort of refreshing, this isn't.

Purchased at Eagle provisions

A-Slightly toasted golden hue with a 2 finger soapy white head. Dettles down to a wisp but leaves nice sheets of lace.

S-Floral, medicinal sharp hops, slight skunk.

T-Not much to it. Slightly toasted taste of malt with a very dry crisp finish. The floral/grassy hops come through in that finish and leave it pleasantly bitter.

M-Crisp, light body with a little oomph to it and a high level of carbonation. it is what it is.

D-This tastes like a non skunked Heineken, which I suppose could be a good thing for somepeople but it just doesn't interest me that much.

From my notes 6/9/07 pours a two-finger white head that quickly goes to a ring, leaving no lace. Crystal clear amber color. Musty nose. Light carbonation and light bodied. Flavor is typical hoppy lager that tends to be bitter at finish. S.Fr. 3.80 ($3.09) for a 330ml bottle from Drinks of the World Lucerne, Switzerland.

Appearance: clear with a deep yellow color. White low head with poor retention.
Aroma: not very nice. Like old corn.
Taste: corn grits, very adjuncty.
Mouthfeel: dry, moderate carbonation, low alcoholic strength.
Finish: kind of bitter and very short.

Overall: almost unpleasant. I will not be visiting this one again.

Very surprising, found in a nice Moroccan restaurant in La Jolla CA.

A= nothing special, a larger-bubbled modestly foamy off-white head which dissipated quickly. Hard to see the color in the dimmer lighting.

S= surprising appeal, rather inviting, nothing offensive.

T= nice malt, yeast, mellow and yet a richness to it.

M= great, nothing to offend, great with a meal.

D= wish I could find more of this stuff!

Here's to you kid! Could not resist a new country, despite being a pale lager. A little bit of initial soapy foam. Detergent smell in there. Some initial passable taste, but then an astringency that makes it undrinkable. Really funky, drink this only when trapped on all fours in the desert.
Had again 3.5 years later, fresh from Morocco and decent mouthfeel.

Couldn't pass up my first Moroccan beer. Pours an electric yellow with a brief white foam that quickly bubbles away it's energy leaving it a flat, scary yellow.

Aroma is slightly sour and skunky, corn and exposed hops.

Taste is a typical adjunct combination that tastes fairly big without having much body to back it up. More pleasant than most domestic lagers if only for the strength of flavors.

It's drinkable enough and just a tad more interesting and satisfying than most bottom shelf lagers but not worth the $1.69 I paid.

I got this one more for the label for my collection than for the contents of the bottle. But once opened, I had to drink it, didn't I.
I had not read any reviews to colour my opinion beforehand, but I was still leery about this when it was poured. It turns out that my beer tasting abilities are in line with most of the other BAs.
The colour was just a generic yellow, and there was no head to speak of. Not the most appealing start.
The smell was faint. I picked up on some sweet malts, and the hops are a bit floral or herbal. -Can't pin it down more than that. Maybe because there just isn't more to identify.
Taste was rather generic and inoffensive. Nothing to write home about. Tastes like it smells - bit of sweet malt, mild bitters. Maybe like a Bud on steroids.
Mouthfeel was a surprise! Crisp, with livlier carbonation than expected. No finish or aftertaste to speak of.
Drinkability is open for discussion. Maybe if I were in a Moroccan desert, and it came to a choice between Casablanca and BMC, I would take this one, if someone else was buying.
I wonder how well this sells in its home country?

Pours a pale almost hazy yellow with very little head.
Some sweet smells of malt. Not much in the way of hoppy aromas just a grainy slightly sweet smell.
Taste well about the same as the smell. The style says it all, American Macro Lager, its just like a big name American Lager. This does seem to be a bit more drinkable to me than the large american ones. The mouthfeel was like water. Nothing really stood out with this beer. It would be a beer for a warm summer day at the lake. It was refreshing and light which makes it an easy drinking beer.

At Epcot in WDW...
Appeared a light, pale gold with a small white head that quickly fizzled away.
Smell is of a typical lager. Corn as the mainstay with a mildly sweet caramel aroma complimenting a sweet florally smell.
Taste is the same as the aromas. Nothing really knocking my socks off here.
Mouthfeel is crisp with a mild dry sweetness. Ok if there's nothing else laying around.

Pale gold lager with a rocky white cap that has modest retention. Leaves light lacing on the glass. Sweet bready malt over herbal hop tones in the aroma. Light bodied, silky-sweetish lager with a sharp hop bite and a nice biscuity after taste. Tastes way better than it looks.

Casablanca looks a lot like Busch with a little yellow food coloring added to it.

Casablanca smells a lot like Busch would smell if you were standing in a corn field.

Casablanca tastes a lot like Busch would taste like if you were to pour your can of Busch into a cup and leave it on your back porch until a skunk walked by and sprayed it.

Casablanca feels a lot like Busch would feel if you added a bit of tarragon to thicken it up just a tad.

Casablanca is pretty darn undrinkable in a way very similar to the way that Busch is pretty darn undrinkable.

All that being said, Casablanca is otherwise an alright beer.
