This place is okay. Not much but a bit better than the black and white one (don't recall the name) on Baldwin. My guess is it is much better for wine. Beer selection was far from impressive, but serviceable. There wasn't one single knock-out DIPA in the place during the 3 weeks I surveyed it. They did have Rochefort 10 and a few other special ones, but those were pretty pricy, even for Hawaii. I live in Alaska, so I understand about freight cost. But Maui prices are even higher still. But, they did have Rochforte 10 for about $10 if you really want one. Couple of decent German beers and then a few west coast and Hawaiin beers. Overall, the selection is pretty boring. But I didn't go to Hawaii for the beer, so settling for the Deschuttes and Sierra Nevada standard lineup is a more than a little bit better than tolerable.

If you are thirsty when in or near Paia, this place could come in quite handy. But it is not a beer destination. The supermarkets (Whole Foods especially) will have better selection if you go to town.

The Wine Corner is a very small liquor store in Paia (a hippy town). Walking in there are a number of coolers that take up most of the floor space. All of their beer offerings were refrigerated which is an automatic plus. They also sold singles of most of their beer which is another plus for those who want to try a bunch of stuff they have never seen without buying entire 6 packs. They have the regular BMC and major imports along with a nice craft and better import selection. I saw Sierra Nevada, Deschutes, Mendocino, Maui, Kona, North Coast, etc. They also had Coopers, Chimay, Duvel, etc. Prices are reasonable for Hawaii prices and also for their single bottles. I would recommend this place along with Whole Foods as the best places in Maui to find beer.

Stopped by after hiking at Haleakala earlier in the day. Sort of hard to find, tucked in a little strip mall near the outskirts of town. Walked into the place and was surprised by the size, it's a bit small. It reminds me of the Wine Corner in Urbana Illinois in that this place is mostly set up for wine and beer comes in at a distant third behind spirits. All of the beer was kept in coolers which was a nice touch and the selection is a bit better than the supermarkets but only because they had a few bombers that the supermarkets didn't carry. Almost everything else could be found in a food land. Kona Brewing Company, Maui Brewing, all the other Hawaiian brewing companies are represented along with some Deschutes beers. Other than a few bombers that can't be found elsewhere I wouldn't make a trip halfway around the island to get a beer here, especially if you can get Deschutes at home, which unfortunately for me I cannot.

Sits off the main street toward the south end of town in the corner of a small strip mall. Parking is hell on a Saturday night, so I parked in front of the restaurant across the street in front of the sign that said "Restaurant Parking Only". Fuck the man. The place looked really small, and I only saw about 50 or so refrigerated beers. I must have missed something as someone mentioned 300+ beers. I'm not saying that's not the case, I just missed em, and they might have been in another part of the store. I should have explored more. Either way there were some good west coast beers I can't get at home (Widmer, Redhook, Deschutes) so I loaded up, and was happy to find what I did in the small, but hip land artsy town of Pa'ia. The gentleman at the counter was pleasant, and the place had a nice laid back feel to it with many people browsing the goods. I didn't notice it being that expensive even by Hawaiian standards. Of note, make sure you hit this place on the way back from Hana, as having a few brews before you take that trip could be disastrous!

The Wine Corner recently moved, about a block east of its previous location. It was easy to find anyway, as Paia is a very small town.

The selection is outstanding for Hawaii, maybe 300 different beers. Unfortunately they didn't focus on Hawaiian beers as much as I'd like, it would have been nice to see more from Kona Brewing. But they had a good variety of American mainland craft beers and German beers. Some Belgians and UK beers, but not too many.

The prices are reasonable when you consider you're in Maui, everything costs a fortune here. This place is worth a stop if you're going to Heleakela, but you don't need to come here to stock up for your resort. You can get good fresh beer in growlers in Napili (Maui Brewing Co.) or decent Hawaii beers in bottles at any Safeway on the island.

Based on my visit in June. Best give this place some props, they've consistently served up the only quality craft beer selection in Maui (other than BPs) that I've ever stumbled across on the garden isle on over six tips to this great island.
Nice selection of pyramid, bison, medincino, rouge& SN, plus others out my price range. Great place to pick up a few before enjoying an awesome sunset.. Great wine selection as well if you're into that. Not much choice past that.

Hawaiian selection is weak, but the whole scene is getting weak, plus you can buy that that other stuff at safeway. Staff is pretty enthusiastic about beer, which helps. Keeps bankers/surfers hours, so good luck catching them early or late> perfect for the road to hana, not gonna catch any craft brews anywhere else.

Just came back from a trip to Maui. If you are there, this may be your best bet to pick up some quality beer. Only about a 10 minute drive from Kahului airport, so worth the diversion before heading off to your destination.

Set in a tiny town, this place is easy to miss. It is at the top of the "T" in town, right next to the stop light. The sign is missing an "e" so it is now the "The Win Corner."

Very small place, but decent selection. The beer fridges are all along the right when you walk in. Nice that most bottles can be bought as singles. I bought: Winterfish, Pete's Wicked Strawberry, Gosser Dark, Mt. Shasta Ale, Anchor Steam and MacTarnahan's Blackwatch Porter.

Prices were decent [but remember, this is relative. Maui is a very expensive place]. Overall, this was a nice place to start the trip. I don't know of a better place and Paia is worth the visit.
