Living in MA, this is a hard beer to find. It is best on tap, but if it is the first poured of the day, make sure you tell the bartender to give you the next glass. First taste can be rough. Otherwise, this is my favorite beer. Please leave the lemon out of the equation though. No reason to ruin a good beer with fruit!

a timid sweet hef that has the characteristics more so of a helles. looks like a hef with a golden yellow cloudy color and a pancake head that has more lace than most hefs. nose is 'bright'. there is the banana and clove and bubblegum but there is also a delicate citrus and honey malt. the nose even has a pilsner crisp odor which transfer over into the palate as something very minimal... its all there on the tongue but simple and crisp. the bitter is in the finish but more as a balancing agent of the sweet. an excellent hef/helles blend and a must for one's that are not particular for the over sweet hef.

Pours a darkish golden yellow color with a huge creamy, pillowy white head that lasts all the way to the bottom and leaves a nice clinging lace. Smell is of some big bananas with some spicy cloves and a bit of tart citric fruit as well. The taste has great fruity characteristics with bananas being the most notable, but not the only one there. There is also a nice spicy clove and slight pepper flavor that rides through to the finish. The brew is a bit thin in the mouthfeel department, but is still rather creamy and smooth and is still rather drinkable. A very nice hefe and one I wouldn't mind returning too.

Part of a "Beers of the World" sampler received for my birthday a few months back.

Pours a bright, hazy yellow with a few fingers of snow white head. Nose is light with notes of musty wheat and banana and a whisp of lemon. Taste is light like the nose, citrus and banana, then peppery wheat. Mouthfeel is light-bodied and smooth. Overall, a nice Hefe Weizen Light, easy-drinking, well-balanced, no fuss.

It poured with a thick white head but I thought the beer was a little too clear to be a hefe weizen. Has a fruity aroma. Taste and mouthfeel are a little thin for a hefe, which is what I thought for the appearance. Still, though, it's well balanced and pleasant. I'm just very surprised from the reviews that said this had some cloudy wheat.
