Single finger thick white head with excellent lacing on a cloudy pale golden body. Aroma of wheat, grains, barley, orange peel and hint if pineapple. Flavor contains similar flavors but light on the malts, mosty wheat and grains with orange peel and more pineapple. Light to medium body and moderate carbonation. Incredibly drinkable, simple and borderline in flavor strengths.

Tucher is a well known hefeweizen around here, so I've drank it several times. However, this was the first time I saw it in a can. I picked it up at Total Wine.

Appearance: Poured into a .5 L hefeweizen glass. The can pours very well, I left some on the bottom to swirl around in order to pick up yeast. It was a lovely pale gold color with lots of turbidity as with any unfiltered hefeweizen. The head was huge and lasted quite a while, and even when it disappated, it neve really was gone, leaving about a third of an inch.

Aroma: Fruity, with notes of citrus, banana, and a hint of melon, spice, and clove.

Taste: Smooth and crisp, medium body and medium carbonation. Wheat maltiness with notes of citrust, banana, and a clove. Mildy sweet, not too little, not too much. Very balanced.

All in all, this is an excellent beer. I've had it in bottles and on tap, but for some reason, this can was amazing. If you're new to hefeweizens or know someone who is, I'd recommend starting with one.

Appearance - Pours a hazy, golden straw hue with a thick, 3 finger head. Decent retention, leading to a consisent, somewhat sticky lacing.

Smell - Perhaps my nose is failing me, but there's very little aromatic quality here. Scant notes of clove and, and to a lesser extent, banana.

Taste - Clean, but remarkably underdeveloped. Faint hints of clove. Even less are the banana and bubblegum flavor that make a quick cameo before darting off to a weak, bland wheat finish.

Mouthfeel - Light in body with a fresh, lively carbonation. Finishes with a touch of dryness. Entirely smooth and drinkable.

Overall - While it displays a tremendous amount of smoothness, the lack of any kind of assertive flavor is disappointing. How mellow is too mellow? This beer crosses the line. Strange, because their krystalweizen shows considerably more character than this.

Maybe just a skunked bottle?

Poured into a large tapered Carlsberg glass at The Local Miami.

A- Pours a hazy medium golden color with a 1/2 inch head that retains a bit before dying down to an 1/8 inch head.

S- Staightforward yeasty wheat aroma with some mild orange peel and coriander.

T- Classic wheat beer flavor with lots of rich, milky yeast notes. Very quaffable with some tangy spice and a bit of zesty citrus. Barely any hop bitterness but what's there is complementary.

M- Creamy with a lighter body. Medium carbonation.

O- It just doesn't get much better than this. Sessionable, flavorful, balanced. Just about perfect.
