One of my favourite all time beers and easily favourite weisse. Can't go without it!

Served cold from 500ml bottle into Schneider Weisse glass.

L) Pale orange-yellow colour, very hazy, very fizzy. Dense shaving foam head. Looks as good as any other weisse. Not much brown yeast in there though.

S) Light sweetish clove. Background honey and orange juice. Pretty standard weisse smell, i.e., apertising.

T) Nicely acidic orangey-banana milkshake. Light bready yeast lower down the list.

F) Good acidic fizz, slightly dense drink, no skanky aftertaste in fact the acidity gives it a nice clean finish. Very nice.

O) If you want to be fair to a beer when reviewing, do it at the right time of year. Drinking this in August showcases what the purpose of the beer is; pure refreshment. This one is well above average and in the top tier of Bavarian weizens.

Probably the best bottled hefeweizen I've had.

Its like Blue Moon but for some reason the Tucher beats it by leaps and bounds.
I like the spicyness. Banana and citrus are there. Smooth and refreshing.
Clove and some spices. Really good Hefe its up there with Hacker-Pschorr Weisse, Franziskaner Hefe-Weissbier, Paulaner Hefe, Weihenstephan Hefe, Sierra Nevada Hefe. etc. Cheers!!

This malt-forward hefeweizen pours to a very thick creamy white head on a cloudy, straw-colored body with moderate amounts of yeast sediment. The typical hefeweizen banana/clove spice is present on both the nose and the palate, as are bitter grapefruit and other citrus notes, but all are rather subdued, with the beer's malt character being more prominent. Alcohol flavors are also noted. The medium body and moderately creamy texture are enlivened by the strong carbonation, and the finish is characteristically clean if a bit malty.

I started drinking this beer in 1979 after working in Germany for a few weeks. After returning to the U.S. I found it at a local German restaurant. This beer is what got me on the craft beer movement 36 years ago when there really wasn't much around. I still love drinking this stuff. I feel it's the Hefe Weizen that all Hefe Weizens should strive to compare themselves to.

Pale hazy yellow, fluffy frothy peaky white head. Smell is that of spice. Maybe white pepper. Coriander. Bubblegum. Taste is light but spicy. Has a nice earthy balance. Taste got better as it warmed up. Feel was thin, lightly carbonated. Very nice. Overall, as this beer warmed up a bit it was clear that this is highly sessionable. Flavor profile changes once it his optimal "euro" temp. Solid brew. A go to all year for me, and a steal at $1.99 a bottle.

Dark gold to light copper in color. There's a fingernail of off white rests on top. Light lacing in the glass. Nice aroma of banana esters. The flavor is pale wheat and gentle banana esters. The mouth is light and smooth.
