Really not quite sure what to make of this one. I had it on tap in a local pub over a basic hamburger. Pretty decent, yet typical Weizen look to it. Almost tossed in the traditional lemon, but then I look a sniff. If I went by smell alone, I'd swear this was some kind of fruit juice. The taste was a little more bland than I really would have liked, but still quite drinkable.

A solid Weizen. I've had better, but I've also had much worse. Good for if you're not looking for something too heavy.

You cannot top that for a Weizen pour. Dark gold golden with a large, rocky head that spills over the top of the glass.

Smells of light wheat spice and a bit of skunk, along with little hints of fruit.

Tastes like it smells. Slight hints of wheat mostly overpowered by a skunk taste and a pea gravel finish. Earthy, not horrible.

A big let down after the pour.

Nose of sour wheat, faint banana, bubblegum, & spice, slight Apple. Taste banana, light yeast, grains, clove, pears, sweet malt, light body, soft carbo, refreshing light!

16.9 oz bottle into a pint glass.

A- Quite a looker! Bright gold and crystal clear. Not many bubbles. A thick head like a hefe, except it fizzled away rather quickly.

S- Smells how a great wheat should- citrus, bananas, cloves. This one was lacking that yeasty, bready scent I like.

T- Not really my style, but not bad. It's a crispy version of a hefe-weisse, so if that sounds good to you, give this a go! To me the bite masked a lot of the flavor. I found some banana, lemony citrus and cloves, but not much more.

M- Crisp and clean!

D- This feels very light in comparison to the beer's unfiltered brother; I could see it making a great session beer.

The best way to summarize this beer is: Hefe-weisse collides with a pilsiner.

A: When poured from a bottle to a weizen glass, this beer had a golden yellow color and a clear texture. Lots of head and lacing.

S: Very grassy smell, along with some hops.

T: To me, the grassy element just overwhelmed the beer. Sure, a slight tinge of hops and some other light fruits appeared, but the grassiness of this one was a little off-putting.

M: A fairly high amount of carbonation and a pretty smooth finish. Full-bodied.

D: This beer is a bit uneven in my eyes. The taste simply didn't do a thing for me in the least, but there were other elements that made it halfway decent.

Pours a semi-clear yellow with a big white head that diminshes after some time. A nice looking beer.

There is a muted smell of clove and banana in the nose that just isn't assertive enough for my liking. I'm not sure if it's past its prime, but it's just not as aromatic as I would like it to be.

The taste is a little better than the aroma. This is what you would expect from the style--fruity and slightly spicy in the mouth with a touch of light malt. Nicely balanced and easy to drink.

This is a nice beer to consume. The mouthfeel has a touch of bite from the carbonation and it goes down very easily. The beer lingers in the aftertaste longer than I like.

This is a decent beer that would the right thjing to serve at a summer picnic.

Pours a clear golden straw in color with a dense half inch of head. Head stuck around for a bit and offered some spotty lacing.

Somewhat sweet on the nose, with a nice ripe banana aroma and a notable wheat presence. Slight bit of funk. Banana notes diminish as the head dissipates.

Taste follows the nose with banana and wheat, somewhat creamy in texture and with a light carbonation on the tongue. Feel diminishes somewhat as the carbonation decreases but the drinkability remains high.

All in all a decent beer but not a style I anticipate making a habit of. Much of the complexities of a Hefe are lost here making this almost like a lager. I guess wheat is 'more holy' than corn...

Clear, mid yellow with an amber hue. Thick, half inch white head that stayed for the duration. Strong lacing throughout. Very light fruity smell with a hint of spice. The taste was fruity with a definite clove sense that grew stronger. Very smooth and creamy texture that imparted a peppery bite after the cloves. Attractive packaging in amber glass.

I prefer a 'whiter' Krystal but this hits the marks for style anyway.
Crystal clear yellow brew with a massive white head atop the glass that melts slowly to slightly sticky lacing.
Aromas are lightly bready...lightly lemon...lightly banana.
Creamy and crisp mouthfeel.
Taste is only lightly sweet with nice peppery wheat spices and a touch of lemon.
Lingering powdery wheat taste.

From a 500ml bottle into my crystal mug. Date is scored but makes no sense, and not just because it’s in German. Maybe it’s supposed to be a lot number…. Anyhow, it’s a clear golden color with numerous tiny bubbles. Huge white head caps it and fades slowly leaving a thick cap and heavy lace. In fact, a lot of foam remains in the bottle, and some even snuck out when uncapping. Nose of light malt and citrus with light breadiness. Rather lackluster bouquet. Tastes wheaty and bready with light citrus and moderate hops. Clean, slightly bitter finish, it’s a couple notches above average in the flavor department. Mouth is smooth and crisp with full but not overwhelming carbonation; it’s a bit watery but not thin. Drinkability is very good overall. It’s a light, mild and satisfying brew. Pleasant drinker, easily sessionable.

Overall: A good German “Kristall Weizen,” which I am guessing to be a filtered hefe. Tasty and enjoyable, a good summer drinker, worth a try but not really something I’d stock up on unless I could find it for a good case price.

Pours to a pale yellow with a foamy white head that dissipated fairly quickly but left decent lacing. Nose is a light mixture of wheat, yeast, floral and a hint of bubblegum. Mouthfeel is muted and only slightly tingly. Taste is har dto pick up, as nothing from the nose really stands out. Finsih, while pleasant, is fairly non-descript, although the beer is a nice thirst quencher.

Serving Type- bottle poured into a 0.5L weissen glass

appearance- A very pale straw color with a decent head

smell- very fruity of banana and pineapple.

taste/mouthfeel- light body, high carbonation, crisp taste. taste of the banana and pineapple with hits of hops and spice, though much less of the flavor. My girl friend loves pineapple, so she enjoyed this beer very much. I on the other hand found it to be average.

drinkability- easy to drink, although i wanted a bit more. still, worth it

M first stab at this style...seems like a dumbed down Hefe with less flavor..decent banana nose with some cloves...pours gold...pretty clear...nice foamy white lace that rims the glass...medium bodied with medium carbonation...not as jazzed up as some Hefe's..taste is banana mainly with a real clean, crisp finish....almost lagerish...(maybe it is, I'm not real versed on this style)...decent, but doesn't pack enough punch in the flavor department for my liking...I like it, but prefer a good Hefe....

A- 1 inch head, a golden look with some activity

S- A very nice crisp citrus nose.

T- Crisp and fruity with slight sweet and bitter notes.

M- Very active almost too much where it starts to overwhelm the flavors

D- Light and easy these would go down very quick.

(served in a weizen glass)
A- The crystal clear yellow body has a strong carbonation strands of microbubbels leading up to a thick white head of cream foam that last a bit.
S- The light clean white bread note has a faint sulfury green note in the finish.
T- The light fruity flavor malt has a note of clove to it and a dry clean flavor and a light tartness in the finish. There is a taste of mineral water that comes through as the beer opens up.
M- The light mouthfeel has a tight fizzy and a slightly water texture.
D- This beer is really nothing without all the yeast character that its cloudy cousin has. It is a bit bland without much character.
