A good example of the style, this one pours medium yellow with a slightly fizzy head.
Grains and grasses are forward in both smell and taste. Also some crisp floral and herbal hops, and a touch of sweet finish.
There are a few tucher beers that are commonly sold in fairly inexpensive four packs. They've all been tasty. This one is also quite tasty. Try it for sure.

An amber honey like appearance.
..body is about medium with below average carbonation.
...aroma is bread, crust, malty bread, very mild earthy floral with some buckwheat honey
...taste is very identical to aroma, almost a little dry yet theres a definite malty tast.
..overall this is a very enjoyable beer that I would seek out again.

16 oz can. Pours deep golden with tall, long lasting, fluffy, white head. Aroma is of bready malt and grassy hops. Body is medium and crisp. Bready malt, grassy hops and hint of honey nicely balanced on the palate. Finish is medium and dry. Good brew.

Great imported German Helles lager!
Better than most imported German lagers, even though it comes in a can and is pasteurized, according to U.S. law for export to the USA. Had it "live" in Germany unpasteurized in 2019, and this pasturized 500 mlncan tastes very similar in Feb 2023, despite having been pasteurized as an imprted Euorpean beer.

Appearance: Deep, yellow-toned body. Clear with a frothed, white head.
Smell: Grainy, lightly husky with a brush of honey and a subtle, light herbal hop hint.
Taste: Lightly grainy, lightly bready with a little, sweetish honey kiss. Slightly twangy tone. Faintly herbal hops, minimal bitterness. Near dry finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium carbonation.
Overall: Ehh.

poured from a 500mL can into a willi becher pint glass. pours a clearer straw gold with three fingers of firm white foam. some decent lacing. bready malts and clean lager yeast. it’s really refreshing and easy drinking. it has a mineral like quality to it and a medium-full mouthfeel. not as carbonated as a pilsner but that’s to be expected. a really good german helles.

Not sure how old the can I drank was.
Taste and nose are grainy, dough, not a lot of hop character to speak of. Clean, crisp, and refreshing. A nice beer to drink on a hot day.

500 ml can poured into a dimpled mug.
L:Rich gold and clear, two finger white head, a little rocky, good retention.
S: Full malty bread aroma with clean fresh hops and a touch of spice.
T: Sharp and dry, balanced, light bread malt, spicy floral hops, mild bitterness, hop bitterness rises at the finish.
M: Mouthfeel is light but it has a little weight. Carbonation is medium, enough to add some crispness to the slightly creamy body.
O: Decent Helles overall, if a little less sweet than I would like.

Golden color and clear. Moderate bar poured head which retains a film on the surface. Minor (and temporary) streaking on the glass.
Clean pale malt aroma, almost like from the brewery. No adjunct smells. Light floral hop in the background.
The taste is creamy in both flavor and body. The former has a mild sweetness. The latter is enhanced by the lower effervescence. There’s a mild but definitive hop presence, particularly as a true German Helles.

Poured from 500mL can into a dimpled mug.
Appearance: medium golden hue with a clear body and quite a lot of apparent effervescence. Head is a thick finger of frothy eggshell foam -- looking good!
Smell: malt is a little bit grainy and a little bit sweet, with perhaps a hint of hop character. Quite balanced and enticing.
Taste: a little bit sweeter than the aroma, but with more hop character and a dash of bitterness to balance things out. This is just a really nice helles.
Mouthfeel: medium body but with a big carbonation and a really nice creaminess, especially for the style.
Overall: this beer is refreshing and drinkable and is just all-around solid. Great stuff.

(500 ml can, L 202509; purchased single off shelf at Total Wine, CH... poured into my Human Robot Tubinger mug)
L: brillianlty-clear, honey-gold liquid; bouncy, spongy white foam... the head doesn't quite hold, nor does the lace stick
S: initially grassy and earthy, a buttered soft pretzel aroma quickly comes to the fore, but the green-leafy hop overtones persist... its intensity never gets crosses that threshold into salivatory appeal; a floral overtone eventually builds
T: decocted Munich malt?: it has a moderate bready, toasted grain foundation, herbal hop bitterness solidly simmering around the perimeters; remarkably dry in the aftertaste, accented by its rigid, steady expressions of bitterness and dry grain... toast with restrained depth
F: light-medium bodied; feels heavier in weight despite ample, active carbonation lifting and 'airing out' the palate; bone dry finish, with little-to-no residual drag or viscosity... subsequent sips reveal a brief sensation of roundness, quickly dissipating mid-flow, but slowly getting chewier with each return
O: not bad, quite serviceable... one of the more toast/grain-over-bread/yeast-driven Helles lagers I recall trying... really no way around giving this slightly lower marks than perhaps it deserves... despite no 'wow' factor, I'd try this again, preferably vom fass (1945)

I finally spotted some of this in a not-so local spot. Date code is confusing, per usual with some imports, but I took a chance at $9 a 4-pack. Poured into my tall Becher.
L -- Clear gold with a sudsy white head that settles slowly to a thin cap.
S -- Mild herbal and grassy hops hops with doughy malt back.
T -- Light bready malt up front with herbal hops in perfect balance. Aftertaste and finish is lightly bitter with herbal hops. There's an underlying touch of diacetyl that was in all 4 cans. Age? Not sure, but also not greatly distracting.
F -- Mouthfeel is soft and smooth with a medium-light body.
O -- A very nice rendition that makes a good change-up from the usual Paulaner or Spaten Helles in my fridge.

Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a clear golden amber color with a one finger head of white foam. The head has a great retention, fading slowly and leaving a light level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is strongest of a grainy and cereal smell mixed with some caramel and a touch of herb. Along with these aromas comes a light fruit aroma of peach and apricot as well as a touch of a corn like smell.
Taste – The taste begins with a nice bready and slightly grainy malt flavor that is backed by a bit of caramel and toffee taste. There is a little bit of a herbal and musty taste that persist at a low level throughout the flavor profile. All throughout the taste profile, the sweeter flavors increase a bit all while the grainy takes on a slightly more doughy like flavor, leaving one with a nice flavorful, but mild taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is medium in body with a higher level of carbonation. For the style the feel is great and makes for a refreshing drinker, all while still nicely accentuating the grainy, bready, and doughy like flavors.
Overall – A rather tasty brew that is very easy drinking. Quite enjoyable.

Aroma: Mild aromas of pale bread malts, German bread malts, some slightly toasted and earthy honey underneath. Slightly buttery.

Medium gold very clear, white head, fluffy, no retention.
Light sulphur smell, along with freshly cut grass, honey, bread dough.
Medium mouthfeel, this is not a light beer. It’s not super heavy either, just not something you’re going to pound hour after hour. These type beers are the pinnacle of brewing.
