$5 for a bottle at MCBW since it apparently wasn't on draft... eek.
Well what can I say, fairly mediocre. Some sips it's a decent easy drinking porter with a nice subtle roastiness, and on others, I get a penny-like metallic flavor. Overall though, this is super sessionable. Decent flavor, and thinnish like a porter ought to be. Nothing special, but something someone would probably like if they're just beginning to drink craft beer.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 11/19/2014. Pours nearly opaque dark brown color with a 1 finger dense tan head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of chocolate, cocoa, caramel, honey, toast, dark bread, light coffee/smoke, light herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt and light earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of chocolate, cocoa, caramel, honey, toast, dark bread, light coffee/smoke, light herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. Light herbal/roasted bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of chocolate, cocoa, caramel, toast, dark bread, light coffee/smoke, and roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for as good big. Good robustness, complexity, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt and light earthy hop flavors; with a good roasted bitterness/sweetness balance and no cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy, and lightly bready/chalky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish as expected of 5.2%. Overall this is a nice robust porter style. All around good robustness, complexity, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt and light earthy hop flavors; and very smooth to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

More sour and less coffee/toasted malt flavor than expected for a porter. Did not detect any honey. I know it's not filtered, but it had a lot of grime at the bottom. No date on the bottle so may have been old, no way to tell. Overall not what I expected and did not end up finishing it as I did not enjoy the flavor, smell, or appearance.
