This is a small wine/beer store. Although they carry mainly wine, their selection of beers, abeit small, is impressive. They have bottles of Russian River, Stone, Alesmith, Beer Republic, among others, along w/ other micros and imports.
Since this place is right off of I-5 and Alicia Parkway, it's a good stop for a beer geek on the way thru O.C, if looking for micros.
They also hold weekly tastings (6-9) on Fridays. Call ahead to find out specifics. They usually open wine for the tastings, but if you're a beer geek they'll crack open beers. Cheese and crackers are provided. There is a tasting fee.

Dimly lit (to look like a cellar?) strip-mall store with one employee and two well dressed alcoholics sampling wines midday on a weekeday in the scary dark back of the store. Kind of creepy in my opinion, but nice enough people. They all gave me some good recommendations of other places to find beer in the vicinity.

Proprietor stopped carrying Craft Brew after he "drank it all." Said the demand wasn't there, maybe he was just ahead of the times?Don't bother unless you are seeking wines.

I was going to a friend's house for an xmas party and i was to cook the main meal, short ribs. I thought i'd braise them. I needed a good belgian, my friend lived off Alicia Parkway, I looked on BA, I stopped here.

This place is a wine store but with a small selection of brew. Kind of like the Wine Exchange in Santa Ana. The place is in the back of a clean South OC strip mall right off the 5 and Alicia. It looks closed except for the neon sign that says Open. When you go in a nice cool, somewhat dimly lit ambiance greets you. I was greeted as soon as i walked in and asked for the beers and was immediately directed to the back right corner. (as soon as you walk in, if you continue to walk straight back, the beer is at the end).

There was about 28 different selections of craft brew. All 22oz or 750ml. Each in its own vertical space in a wooden wine rack. Basically, the wine throughout the store is in these racks and the beer is treated the same. There was some Maudite, Panil Barrique, Rogue, Chimay... and damit, i cant remember the others. I was to in a hurry. But i remember that if i wanted to find a good craft brew to drink and was in South OC, this would be a place to come to.

When i checked out, i talked to the nice gentleman behind the counter. I told him i heard of this place on beeradvocate and he said "sweet". We talked about beer, then another customer joined us, who was drinking a heinekin, and we talked more beer. It was quite enjoyable. While this is a wine store, they do have enough beer to satisfy your craving. It's all craft brew and no macros. At first i wasnt sure how to score this because they only had about 28 beers, but then, when a store that sells beer chooses to sell all micro and no macro, well, that's good in my book. Cheers.
