What a place! Wide open space resemebles kind of a ski lodge. Huge wall of coolers for packaged product, a real wide variety. Deep taplist too. Busy on a Saturday night, but it didn't feel crowded. So much to choose from. Great service too.

Spent a glorious afternoon in this amazing pub!! Just amazingly relaxing and wonderful in every way!
Wonderful tap beer selection. Also have about 20 refrigerators with bottles. Yes, you can definitely find whatever you want to quench your thirst.
Food was also delicious. I had a large pretzel with a side of homemade pickles. Also had a wonderful charcuterie plate. Truly yummy! I also like that they make a lot of their food as well as source a lot of locally made products.
Overall, it was a glorious few hours in Eugene sitting at the bar in this pub. I highly, highly recommend it!

Had lunch, a nice guada and turkdey sandwich . Nice variety of draft selections, quite a few bottles to choose from, though they did not have the German beer I sought. For eugene , it will be your best bet for a good variety

Excellent bottle/can selection. Priced to drink on site, but 20% off for to go. Staff knows beer! Highly recommended. I'll be back.

The Bier Stein is a cool place to grab some great beers (also hard to find beers) and food. I really like the tap display. Shows how much is left on tap in real time. They always seem to have good events too. I really liked the Block 15 sticky hands release party or the PTY rr day. Sometimes i don't get food there tho. Theres noting wrong with the food but its sometime too much cash for a few beers and food.

This place is the best. When I moved to Eugene they were still in the little shop on 11th. Since then, they upgraded and expanded into their current location on Willamette. You go for the beer, but then you stay for the beer and food. Service is great, especially when the ewench system is working well. Pro tip: go grab your first beer and a menu, and open a tab. Then find a seat, peruse the menu, plan your next beer and place your order on your phone.
If you stand in front of the 1200 or so bottles they have for a minute or longer somebody is bound to ask you if you need any help. Super knowledgeable staff.
Throw in the pool table and big screen projector and you have yourself the perfect beer bar.

Man, this place was awesome. Folks in Eugene are so lucky to have this place. They have just about every Oregon beer you could want, then some. I was the first person in there, got helped by 3 different people. Had 2 more say hey as they walked by. Everyone was extremely helpful and nice. I got 6 high quality Oregon beers for $16, not bad at all. They check their ages on the IPAs too, so you don't have to. Go there if you're w/n an hour or so drive. Totally worth it.

We stopped in for a weekend dinner. Order food and beer upfront and go find a seat. It's a fairly big area with a square bar in the middle of a dining area and a pool table on the side. They had 20-some taps, including a cider and two nitros; and there's a bunch (100s?) of bottles in upright coolers to have there or take-away. The pretzel, beer cheese, fries and mac & cheese were delicious. If you want more beer for food after your initial order just text it to the bar without having to get up into line again. Well worth going out of your way for.

A few friends brought me to this place while I was visiting them in Eugene. Apparently it's the new location. It clean, spacious and super inviting. They have a great beer selection, both on tap and in bottles. The drafts are listed on a big screen behind the counter, while all the bottles are easily viewable in their stand up coolers. I sampled a few beers before going with a porter, which was good, although I am ashamed to admit I don't remember the name. (this was a few weeks ago). We all ordered food as well, which was better than standard bar fare. I got a grilled cheese sandwich with tomatoes and peppers. My friend got a half order of nachos. Half order was huge. Her boyfriend got a club sandwich that was pretty good as well.
The best part about the place was definitely the atmosphere. Although they didn't really have mood lighting it felt very cozy. It was like sitting at your kitchen table drinking with friends. There isn't loud music blaring. Just a bunch of friendly folks milling around or sitting down chatting. The fire place was warm, and the décor entertaining.
my only regret... we had all partied too hard the night before and only stayed at the Stein for a beer. I would love to go back and spend an entire evening.
