"Irish malt, oats, maple syrup, a 7 lbs of Hemlock Hill Farm Bacon make this the perfect breakfast beer"
32 ounce growler filled at the brewery about 2 hours ago.
Pours dark brown, under a lasting medium khaki head. Head goes to a nice looking tiny bubble film, thin collar and more then ample fine and high sheeting.
On the nose I get mostly sweet maple notes and a hint of smoke.
On the palate its basically more of the same, lots of maple, lite smoke and no real true bacon element. Real nice, smooth and flavorful brown ale with some lite smoke. Maybe they will toss more bacon in the fermenter next time.
