Tropical, citrus and even watermelon notes in this one. Very easy drinking.

Reviewed from the can:
Pours a hazy orange color. Oddly enough, there is a wisp of a head that quickly dissipates. I expected better.
Luckily, the nose is particularly pleasant, with dank, piney and grassy aromas, as well as notes of chives and onion. Juicy aromas of tropical and citrus fruit, including mango, pineapple, grapefruit and orange.
Likewise, the taste is juicy, yet very resinous with strong herbal notes and bitterness. A crisp cracker malt base, merely neutral, supports a hops burst of tropical and citrus fruit and pine resin. The finish is dry.
Medium bodied with a mouthfeel somewhere in between crisp and smooth. Carbonation seems too mild.
Given the lack of head and low carbonation, I believe there might have been something wrong with this can. I say this because I was at Captain Lawrence Brewery just last week and had in on draught; I clearly recall the carbonation being a lot stronger. Hence, the reduction in scores. Make no mistake about it though, this is a fine IPA!

Love the look, love the nose, love the taste! That's the primary trifecta in my book ... Slight lingering aftertaste that diminishes just a bit .... Overall, most excellent!

Poured into a glass, its a hazy but still see thru pale straw a sharp, piney odor and juicy undertones. Feel is robust and crisp, it finishes quite smoothly. Tastes earthy, musky, a bit sour but the spiciness of the ella is prominent. A great complex taste that's well executed.

One of my favorites by Captain Lawrence... a crisp and very flavorful NEIPA.

I like the can art design. The pour is a hazy/cloudy yellow in the IPA glass. The taste is apricot, peach, mango, & sour lemon bars. Cheers! A-

I’m not overly impressed...sorta has a bitter/sour aftertaste dusted with pepper...I’m not really getting the citrusy/tropicalness others are tasting...not a true NEINPA IMO. Sorry.

12/7/19...on tap at brewery. Cloudy gold with light white foam. Faint citrus nose. Pine bitter flavoring. Quite smooth. Bitter intermingles. Heavier on the citrus. Peppery too. Very nice.
