Pours a clear golden color with an amber huge. I must have poured a bit overzealously because I got a massive frothy head that took forever to recede.
The nose is bursting with tropical fruit. Aromas of mango, pineapple and passionfruit. These are supported by subtle notes of sweet grass and pine. Overall, I can’t take my nose off of this juicy fragrance.
The taste similarly features tropical fruit, however, its flavors are a bit more subdued as compared to the aroma. Instead, there is a firm bready backbone with notes of caramel and honey, of which this emphasis on malt reminds me somewhat of a Pale Ale. Yet, as a firm and significant bitterness begins to develop, along with its piny, leafy and resiny flavors, I’m suddenly reminded of a classic West Coast IPA. This notion is no doubt supported by the development of pithy grapefruit flavors which also compliment the tropical fruit tastes of mango, pineapple and passionfruit.
Medium bodied, crisp and with a moderate to lively carbonation. A dry finish displays pine resin and a short bitter linger.
Very enjoyable and a pleasant surprise. Great balance between malt and hops overall. It straddles the line between Pale Ale and West Coast IPA, while displaying some classic hoppy bitterness we don’t see as much in this day and age. It kind of reminded me of a poor man’s Zombie Dust. I would definitely have again.

AS THICKLY HAZY, as they come without being too much like fruit juice.
a) Creates a creamy, sticky bone colored head that scrapes lace, over the dark apricot haze bomb body.
s) Dank, solid, pine, medicine cabinet more than fruit.
t) Has the medicinal backbone, along with pine and hops on top of chewy breadiness.
f) Feel is chewy, asprin, powdery.
o) Original - my first single hop experience with VIC would do it again and again.

12 oz can, from the brewery...canned 7-18-18

The pour here is hazed, darker with a fuzzy peach kinda hue. Delicate webs of ringed lacing.

Sniff is of ripe fruit and hibiscus

Dank and delicious, more fruity/juice notes bounding....more tea/hibiscus hop notes in the rear and lingering in the finish.

Nice addition to the Orbital Tilt series...well worth a try

I picked this up on a whim, a little disapointed in the selection at Downtown Crowne, which isn't usually the case. I guess they were cleaned ouit after the holiday weekend. Ironically, I have really enjoyed this old school IPA. The citrus and pine sap is only moderately bitter but full of oily flavor thatr hits the back of the tongue perfectly. This is intense but not overwhelming but fits the texture and low carbonation perfectly. Creamier and smoother than something this hoppy would normally be. Solid craft.

Favorite brew I've had in a long time. Much more to offer than the endless juice bombs that are taking over. Get it if you see it fresh. Seems to be flying under the radar. I buy them out at our local grocery store.

Big bright citrus hop aroma, with some mango underneath. Pours a nearly opaque orange with a dusting of white head. A touch of caramel sweetness starts off the beer, which then rolls into pine, pith, grapefruit, and a touch of sweet mango. This fades away leaving a long lingering bitter finish. Rich mouthfeel, with just enough carbonation to keep it from getting cloying. A very solid AIPA.

12 oz can with a July 2018 canning date from the Wall of Beer ($1.79 -- Clemson, SC).
Pours pale orange-amber, cloudy, and with a tall, creamy bone-colored head. Good retention and loads of very sticky lacing.
The aroma is a bit dank and reflects moderate strength for style. There are both evergreen and tropical fruit notes.
The flavor brings out more bready grains, less pine and plenty of hops, but with only moderate bitterness. Good balance.

I tried this at the brewery. It poured a hazy yellow with white head that is not leaving much lace. The scent had floral nose. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with citrus presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall its a good beer.

Not as dank or catty on the aroma or flavor profile as I had hoped, but this is my first time trying vic lupulin, so maybe expectations were just to high. Still great mouthfeel and great value
