Golden straw in color with a soda pop head.
The aroma was lightly hopped with some mild citrus.
Taste was similar with a citrusy hop taste. Candied lemon drops come to mind.
After that not much flavor.
I'm not a big American wheat beer fan but with alot of these beers being hopped
I can tolerate them.

i know this is a summer beer, and its winter now, but this is something amazing. i am a sucker for sorachi ace, and this appears to be loaded with it, there may also be some galaxy or nelson or one of the other unique varietals from that corner of the world. the sorachi though, with its lemon curd and grassy properties are intense over a very light pale wheat malt base that still manages enough body to not be watery, but stays light enough in feel and alcohol to be the ultimate summer beer for a guy who loves these kind of hops. i have been really impressed with all the beers from captain lawrence, but this one is next level for the style, where flavor is usually sacrificed on the altar of sessionability. not here, this is proof you can have it all. i know this bottle had to have a few months on it, but its held up incredibly well and i can only imagine it getting better with freshness. zesty hops, minimal on their oily aspect but enormous on the fruit, especially in the nose, and a really clean finish. hard to beat in hot weather, heck, it almost takes me out on the boat. i hope to score quantity of this next spring!
