Pours a dark brown color with a healthy finger of head. The nose has both roasted notes and something sweet that's hard to place. The flavor follows the nose. The sweetness has a bit of a fake quality to it, however.

A thanks to the captain of the canquest, woodychandler, for this beer. Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a black color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of roasted malts, little else. Taste is roasted malts, touches of chocolate. Feels medium/full bodied in the mouth and overall it ain't bad, but I was expecting much more of a chocolate profile than it delivered.

16oz can poured into a snifter
A- pours black in color with a two-finger foamy khaki colored head that has great retention and leaves a bit of lacing behind
S- roasted malt, chocolate, milk sugars, coffee, caramel
T- sweet and malty up front with come creamy lactose, followed by notes of chocolate and caramel. The finish brings out a roasted malty note that adds coffee and char, lingers of lactose and caramel
M- medium body with moderate carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that continues into the finish

L: Poured from a tallboy can to a pint glass. Had a dark brown color and a thick, opaque consistency. There was a 3/4", creamy, off white, somewhat long-lasting head. Excellent lacing.
S: A very muted aroma of malt, a creamy quality, chocolate, vanilla, and lactose.
T: Tasted of a bit of the creamy quality (quite fleeting), some chocolate notes (not quite enough), a lot of malt (present throughout), a hint of vanilla, and lots of lactose. A surprisingly thin and uninspired flavor. All of the ingredients seem to be there, but they're not pushed far enough. It comes across as watery and uninteresting.
F: A good amount of carbonation with a dry finish. Medium-bodied.
O: on the whole, this is kind of a misfire. Could've been better.

Think i would prefer a stout made from the ice cream cookie crust/filling, not a big fan of a syrupy vanilla ipa

Can to snifter.
LOOK: Dark black color, medium tan head, bubbles recede in a patchy pattern which is something that I don't normally see. Good retention.
AROMA: Chocolate, vanilla.
TASTE: roasted barley, chocolate, vanilla. It does remind me of a chocolate cake.
FEEL: medium body, respectable carbonation, smooth and creamy
Pretty good. Wasn't expecting much, but this is pretty tasty and enjoyable.
