Thanks to CaveDave for this beauty. Batch #4 on the label. Poured into 10oz goblet. Poured an almost opaque brown, with a slight reddish tint, and a very thin cap of khaki colored head that quickly settled into a ring.

The tart, fruity aroma blasted out of the bottle as soon as the cap was cracked. On further sniff, there was a very light grain base, but the funk clearly was the star. The fruitiness seemed to have more of a cherry scent, even though there are grapes in the brew. On the tongue, the beer was pretty similar, although it was easily noted how much more tart the beer was. The fruit was at the front and dissipated quickly, leaving just a light grain taste and that delicious Brett flavor.

The body was good, I, maybe, would have preferred it a touch more full, but it was still nicely solid across the palate. The beer had a semi-dry finish, with the tartness lingering. Drinkability was very good, I could see having these on a semi-regular basis if it were local to me. Overall, an excellent brew. A must try if you get the chance.

Batch #4. Poured in to snifter.

A - Poured a very dark amber/brown colour and settled completely opaque. A very insignificant amount of carbonation appeared to be present from the pour in the form of a few scattered bubbles that disappeared immediately.

S - Sour cherry and grape aromas with a big oak presence and some sweet breadiness.

T - Sour up front, just barely to the point of being puckering. Oak, tart cherry, sweet grape and a breadiness that is present throughout.

M - Medium body. Dry. Light carbonation.

The beer comes in a copper reddish brown.

The aroma has sweet bright cherry fruits and tartness along with a oak sweetness.

The flavor follows with a cherry and grape flavor along with caramel sweetness. The oak on the end cleans the beer up, without being too bold.

This is a really well balanced beer with its tartness, oak, and sweetness. The alcohol is extremely well hidden on this.
