375mL bottle poured into a tulip.
(A)- Pours a clear yet pale apricot orange color. Some decent white froth and buttles.
(S)- Huge aromas of cheesy funk to this. Tart and acidic oaky smells, but alot of serious barnyard funk to the finish.
(T)- Again, a serious dirty cheesy oak funk to this. Minimal fruits in the background, but they are there. Minimal tartness.
(M)- A good carbonation level still. It is seriously funky in a very dirty/cheesy way. Still retained some of its fruitiness, but VERY subtle.
(O)- Very excited to have finally tried this one, but I think I got it with too much age on it; past its prime. Still enjoyable though.

375ml bottle shared 4 ways. Really really excited to finally try this one.
A: Very murky/cloudy. Orange-pink haze.
S: Hmm... Dirty rain water?
T: DIRTY RAIN WATER! What a coincidence..
M: Flat. Thin. Slightly acidic.
O: Well past its' prime. Two sips and down the drain... :(

375ml bottle poured into a Lost Abbey stemmed glass. After several unsuccessful attempts to trade this one away, there's nothing left to do but drink this. Bruins/Capitals - Game 7 - seems like a good occasion.
A - Bottle opens with not even a whisper of carbonation...not a good start. Pours a pale and well hazed link pinkish orangey gold...reminiscient of fruit juice. A few sparse bubbles make their way to the surface, but seems to be more from the turbulence of the pour rather than any carbonation activity. The stillness is the only detractor for an otherwise good looking wild ale.
S - Very oaky/woody on the nose. Lots of white wine like aromas here too, grapey, apples, quite tart with lemons, tart cherries. Smells quite acidic - this is making me think it will be really sour...here's hoping. Bretty funk mixes nicely with the acidic and wine-like aspects of the beer. Sourness is mostly acetic and vinegary with hints of lactic sourness mixed in too.
T - Yep, as suspected from the opening and the pour, totally still...oh well - on to the flavors. Overall, really not that sour at all - smell is rather misleading. A bit of a mix of earthy and some metallic flavors at the base. Lots of oak, some mild funk, earthy and vaguely mushroom-like, not a corked&caged bottle - but cork, tart cherries, grape juice.
M - Totally still...not a bubble of life to this bottle - really disappointing. Body is quite thin and water-like. Not much tartness/sourness at all - not the slightest bit puckering. Combo of earthy flavors is a bit too strong and leaves behind a bit of a dry, metallic, drink out of a steel can kind of feel on the swallow.
O - Bottle past its prime in all likelyhood. Cap was solidly secured under a painfully difficult to remove 1/16th - 1/8th inch of wax so doubtful that it leaked...might have been on the still side to begin with - bad bottle - probably will never know. I think a little life could have helped this one out tremendously. Flavor was good, a bit heavy on the earthy to be ideal, but good nonetheless.
