So they tell me this is a rebrewing of the '6 N Change' Black IPA: Pilot Batch #8, brewed a few months ago. The are calling this "Captain Lawrence Black IPA"

Growler filled about 2 hours ago at the brewery.

Pours very dark brown, dark tan head, leaves loads of sheeting n lace.

Roasty dark malt nose, with some dusty chocolate.

Very tasty brew, with dark malts flowing, then milk chocolate sweetness, then hops close the deal. Long chocolate soaked finish, with some spiced up hops drying up the palate. Densely flavorful. Not sure if this is a hoppy stout or a roasty, chocolate spiked IPA.

Either way, quality creation, very enjoyable stuff

on draft, pours very dark brown. good example of the style. big hops, just a touch of dark malt flavor. enough body to coat the mouthfeel, but still easy drinking.
