"A fruity brown saison with a healthy amount of dark malts. Named after Doug's (Brewer Douglas Roberts) ferocious cat" From the CLBC info sheet

Growler filled at the brewery this afternoon and enjoyed in a tulip.

The pour is quite dark brown, actually looks like a porter alot more then a saison...short lived mocha head, leaves a nice looking tiny bubble film, collar as well as respectable amounts of strandular lacing.

Sniff of dark chocolate and some yeasty goodness.

Carbonation seems to be on the low side.

More chocolate on the palate, as well as dark bready malts. Yeasty undertones and a subtle lactic note adding to the intrigue and complexity.

Brewed once, not sure if it will be seen again, worth getting to the mothership ASAP to get a try
