Deep copper color yet clear at the same time. Head is about an inch thick, then settles and there's not much carbonation left. Moderate lacing. Aroma is toasty and full of nuts. Caramel sweetness is the main flavor in this beer. More of a roasted nuttyness comes in midway through and sustains itself until the finish. Hops are slight but the finish is rather dry. Very quaffable. Body seems a bit thin, atleast for my liking, and maybe not rich enough either. Except for that this is a really good offering from a brewpub that has surely stepped it up lately.

I grabbed a growler of this to go and I ended up liking it best of their brews I have had so far. A clear reddish copper color with a thin off-white head.Aroma of caramel malts and ripe sweet fruit, apple, maybe a hint of spice.Flavor is mostly malty toasted caramel with a hint of peaches and spice, just a touch of hops at the end.I drank the whole growler by myself at one sitting so I guess it was drinkable.

On tap poured into a mug

A- Rich amber color with a solid, fluffy 1" head that settled to decent lacing and stick. Light carbonation.

S- Nice and malty consitent to the style. Mostly caramel scents.

T- More malts in the flavor with some light hops leading to a semi-dry finish.

M- Full mouthfeel with a medium-light carbonation.

D- Another easy-drinking and sweet, but not overwhelming, festbier that goes well with food.

Overall- A solid offering for the season from GRBC. I enjoyed this one and the headbrewer insisted the next batch would be even better.

had this on october 16th. from the tap, poured a medium copper, with no head. aroma, the malts jumped right out there in front, follwed by hops, and caramel. flavor, caramel, malts, fruits did have a metallic taste to it as it warmed. nothing special about this beer.

Sparkling deep caramel without a head. No retention and lacing. Carbonation is mild to moderate. Aroma is very indistinct and distant. Taste starts oddly with rotting cherries, a strong alcohol note, corn, rubber, then an acrid lingering herbal bitterness and more corn in the finish. Mouthfeel is wet with a medium body. Terrible finish.

Pours a transparent amber color with very little head, actually very little of any sort of carbonation. The nose smells mainly of caramel malts, nothing extraordinary or unique. This holds true with the taste of the beer also. A simple malty taste and not much else left for deciphering. Except maybe corn. Or bread. Kind of on the watery side, and finishes unpleasantly. Really just a very boring marzen. Dont waste your time.
