When Ben the laughing dog was much younger he developed a habit of sticking his nose in people’s crotches to check them out and say Hello. One of his favorite people to do this too, coined the term CSB or Crotch Sniffing Bastard and so the seed was planted for the name of this beer. A British style ESB with an LDB twist it is crisp but malty and at the same time somewhat playful, it is a great beer to have while out sniffing around, or if you are stuck at home on a short leash for maybe sniffing in the wrong places.

Bombe om Half Time poured a clear amber with a lasting creamy amber head. Aromas of carmel, butterscotch, light earthiness and light toffee. Mouthfeel was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, toffee, butterscotch, light earthiness and a hint of fruittiness with a smooth lingering butterscotch finish.

Bomber from Sergio's. Going to Kentucky to get an Idaho tick. wow! Clear amber with a small cap of tan head. Seems to have held up extremely well. Malty aroma, leather. Taste is more of the malts, leathery and tobacco. Malts throughout, aging adds notes of cucumber. Solid mallty backbone throughout, aged well.

This was poured into an English pint glass. The appearance was a ruddy burnt orange almost copper color with a finger’s worth of light foamy white head. Some lace, but sliding and messy. The aroma had some biscuits, toast, sweet grain, butterscotch, caramel/toffee malts, earthy to grassy hops and a touch of dried leaves. The flavor was malty sweet like many ESB’s I have tried. Expected earthy hop to smooth malty crispness in the aftertaste. Finish was crisp and malty. The palate was roughly medium bodied with a decent sessionability about it. Carbonation felt good as best as a bottled ESB can be. ABV felt as projected. Overall, I’d say this was a pretty good ESB worthy of having again if I could get it. Pass the fish n’ chips.

This is a very good pale ale that tastes much better than it smells.
Copper, it has a huge tan head steadily shrinking to thin top.
Aroma is ok but not great - yeasty bread dough, hints of caramelised pine bark, wet hay, old wet towels.
Taste is nice winy breadcrust, hints of toffee and spice drops, caramelised pine, form sweetness and bitterness, nice balance, some well-rounded complexity, engaging character & feel.

Great English taste. Rich and full. Mild fruity tastes from yeast. Great

Pours a hazy blood orange colour. Beige, single finger head that dissipates quickly.
Apple aroma. Some hops.
Apple taste also. Almost like an apple that is about to turn bad in a good way.
I'm partial to bitterness and this hits the mark.
Mouth feel is pleasant thickness but not overly so..
I read a lot of negative things about this beer but drink it with an unbiased thought and you may enjoy.
