Absolutely mediocre. This beer is made with a handful of cocoa nibs and 99% extract which gives it a powdery, weird, watery mouthfeel and flavor. Cloying and disgusting.

My wife's favorite. A little sweeter than most porters so a good gateway beer for those new to craft beers. Pours with a nice head lots of coffee and other standard porter notes. Widely available in bottles tho the tap is better.

I didn't have sky-high expectations for this one but they were far exceeded. A bit thin and chalky on the mouthfeel but the overall flavor profile is fantastic

12 oz bottle.
The clear dark reddish brown body is nearly black and opaque in the glass. A thick beige head exhibits very good retention and leaves attractive lacing.
Aroma: lots of dark chocolate and dark bread in the nose.
Flavor: Rich and lightly sweet. Featuring cocoa nibs and dark chocolate with a solid dark bread base. Faint coffee appears in the aftertaste.
Feel: Creamy smooth, near full body with soft, medium carbonation. Approaches 5.

Overall: a fine chocolate porter.

Poured from the tap into a 20 OZ mug. The appearance is a dark brown with a large tan head. The aroma is chocolate and malt. The taste is a malt chocolate bomb. very good.

Poured pretty thin but has good lacing. Not super sweet as one would expect. The chocolate taste ranged from a delicious chocolate malt to a semi cooled down powdered hot chocolate.

A surprisingly disappointing brew. I purchased a six-pack for a friend on the condition that I got to keep one of them to try myself. We were both rather disappointed with the overall flavor. Weak chocolate, weak flavoring, weak everything in a weak brew. I'd try again if they added chocolate and nitro.

12 oz bottle (enjoy by JUL 05 2017)
Poured into a pint glass shows a deep mahagony brown, cola colored body upon which no head can be found, save a wispy edge-hugging ring.

Aromas are muted but include a roastiness with chocolate, and vanilla.
Taste matches with more of a cocoa powder flavor.
Mouthfeel is the winner here. Creamy and luscious. It fills the pallette, but does not coat it; not oily; not dry, but wet leaving no aftertaste. Ahh as I read the label, the brewer describes it as velvety. Agreed.
Overall, a very nice dessert beer.

More of a weird powdered fake chocolate thing going on than it is any real chocolate..

Very thin with almost no head..

There are so many porters that are better , I certainly wouldn't buy this one again.
