Pours a hazy yellow color with a slight head to it. The smell is of wheat with hints of some floral notes. The overall taste is of wheat with hints of some citrus hop notes. The mouthfeel is pretty smooth. The drinkability of this is okay, there is nothing to make you dislike the beer, but there is nothing to make you sit up and say hey i really like that.

Pours a finger of nearly white one finger head over a cloudy yellow liquid. Smells sulfur, yeast, clove, and minimal earthy hop.

Tastes moderate malt sweet that carries medium-strong clovey phenol. Also quite yeasty. Mild hop bitter and little hop flavor. Very german in character, is this beer mis-classified here on BA as an American Pale Wheat? Judged to category listed here on BA. Wet on the tongue, but dries out in the finish accompanied by a gentle peppery sting. Some creaminess in mouthfeel and modest carbonation. Epic fail for the style, but a decent german wheat.

Sweaty Betty Blonde pours a yellow color with a white head from a brown twelve ounce bottle. Aroma is banana and clove. Very light wheat beer taste, clove is noticeable but mild at first, but becomes more noticeable as the beer warms. A bit of citrus perhaps. Sort of a sparkling type of carbonation. Decent beer for a hot day. Worth a try.

i bought a case of 12 oz. bottles this year, and thought i'd give this one a re-review due to the fact that my previous review was unflattering...so here goes.

pours out a hazy sun gold colour, with a thin tight head that sticks around a bit. plenty of lacing. a pretty beer. wheatish aroma with some ripe banana notes...smells like a hefe inspired creation. taste is thick and rich with wheat notes, banana inspired flavours, seemingly artificial at times or just too sweet maybe...and a bit of alcohol spice and booziness. not too bad. just interesting enough to capture the attention of a true hefe lover but not quite. and enough to satisfy the american wheat drinker with extra flavour to spare. mouthfeel is very good...this is a heavier concoction and there is plenty of creaminess to mingle with the above mentioned flavour characteristics. deep body; it's a higher ABV wheat so you get your money's worth. drinkable, especially in the warm weather or on the patio in the hot sun.

ok, i'm giving this higher scores this time around because i just plain like it more this time, but it seems to want to blur the line between american wheat and bavarian style hefe. and by the time i get through six or eighth of these quenching my thirst and desire for a good wheat or hefe after a hard day in the summer sun, i find my vision and my memory blurred, also.

i'd have to say that this is worth a case every summer season.

This beer was purchased at Piazza Diseppoli for $7.99 a six pack. The beer was poured into a pub glass.

Appearance: The beer pours a hazy lemon yellow in the glass. The head was thick and fluffy. The head retention was ok. Rings of lacing remain on the glass.

Smell: The beer has a good lemon pepper and cloves combo. The beer has a sweet wheat smell.

Taste: The beer has a sweet wheat breadyness. This is accompanied by a combo of lemon and cloves. The beer could use a bit more hops to better balance it.

Mouthfeel/ Drinkability: The beer has a light body. The beer has a stinging carbonation. The beer is an ok beer drink; however, for the money it is easy to get a better wheat beer.

12 oz brown bottle.

Very cloudy pale straw in color. Fizzy, carbonated white head that evaporates quickly. Little to no lacing left along the glass.

Mild, fruity esters: banana with a touch of lemon. Bright, spicy clove over a clean-smelling wheat.

An initial bright, solvent-like citrus tartness over a slightly dry, toasted oat and wheat backbone. Notes of clove and corriander that attempts to cut through the thick citrus flavor. The lemony-tartness lasts however, well into the aftertaste.

Light in body; a nice balance of spice, crispness, and carbonation.

A flavorful Pale Wheat compared to the onslaught of boring summer releases. Too heavy on the lemon-sourness, but one I would go back to.

A - Light golden yellow color with thin white head. Quickly fades and leaves no lacing and very little coverage.

S - Somewhat skunky smelling lemon and wheat mixture.

T - Beer redeems itself a little with the taste. Lemons and somewhat grainy wheat taste. The citrusy lemon taste is the primary taste though.

M/D - Light to medium bodied and a little on the chewy side. Very average wheat ale.

A 12 oz bottle picked up at Total Wine in Columbia, SC

A - a hazy blonde, with a decent amount of clarity. 1 finger of head and a touch of sticky lace left on the glass

S - Banana, sweet malts, wheat. Very nice aroma

T - Pears, bananas, wheat, with a slight hop kick at the end. Tasty!

M - Medium bodied, well balanced. High carbonation.

O - A very tasty blonde wheat ale. Excellent for a hot summer july evening.

Part of a large trade with jhammerly from Nebraska...thanks Jimi.
Pours a cloudy straw-yellow with a small white head that disappeared all too quickly.
Aroma of spicy wheat and only a tiny touch of lemon.
Taste is immediately an explosion of lemon....sweet malt at first, then swallowing to lemon juice. As the beer warms some, the lemon juice flavors change slightly to lemonade (get slightly sweeter).
Aftertaste is spicy wheat and lemon juice.
Mouthfeel could use more carbonation but it doesn't taste totally thin or flat.
Good summer cooler.

A - This beer is a beautiful glowing beige/gold ...like yellow candle wax, it has a translucence despite it's opacity. Sadly, the head is flimsy and only reaches one finger for the first few seconds before turning into soapy dishwater. A small amount of foamy lace slides down the glass.

S - Funky wild yeast notes smell very barnyard-ish and almost nasty. I like nasty! This has orange and carrot juice notes....like V8 Splash or something, and there actually is a sweaty component to this nose.

T - Wow! I liked the nose, but the flavor is great. Orange and pineapple fresh fruit salad with those big funky yeast flavors that I loved in the nose. This actually reminds me very much of Unibroue's Blanche de Chambly.

M - Waxy, lightly carbonated, and heavy. These are actually odd feelings for the style, but I like it! The finish is all tropical fruit and Belgian yeast.

D - Killer. This is a killer, killer brew for the summer! I could quaff this stuff until I puke....not that I would do something like that, but I could.
