Notes: Due East uses a blend of three fruity, juicy hops, with a double dry-hopped addition post-fermentation for big hop aroma and flavor without added bitterness. Hints of lemon, peach and pineapple cut through the subdued bitterness of this hazy New England-Style IPA.

Poured from a 12oz can with a best by date of 10/10/18; into a pub glass.
Appearance- a hazy, but not overly so, gold that still displays plenty of carbonation bubbles; head is a medium thin, white that leaves good tracks of lacing.
Smell - peaches with hints of grass and caramel candy!
Taste - the fruit flavors stand out here; primarily peach, but definitely pineapple and perhaps mango with some subtle citrus blended in as well!
Feel - this has a fruity backbone without being very sweet and a mild but very noticeable bitterness that is all IPA!
Overall- I had low expectations after seeing the reviews, but this not only exceeded expectations, it blew them away! Now, if you want your “hazy IPA” to be completely cloudy with no visability, then you will nitpick this one. I, on the other hand, appreciate the fact that it maintains “hazy” characteristics without looking, and tasting, like it’s just the brewers standard IPA with some added fruit juices! Very tasty and the over 7% ABV is completely masked! Nicely done Boulder Beer!

L:. Pours a hazy straw yellow lemonade color with a very rocky creamy white head and thick rings of lacing.

S:. Peach, lemon ride, some pineapple, and other citrus fruit and some mango, a bit of a earthy weediness. Not quite as sweet as expected.

T:. Strong lemon tartness, peach, some orange, mango and pineapple, a medium earthy bitterness. Not a terribly sweet or fruity hazy IPA.

F:. Creamy mouthfeel, medium body.

O:. Not bad, but this is definitely not my favorite hazy IPA.

MF: Medium body, moderate carbonation, good balance

Very easy to drink, nice take on the style

Poured from a 12 oz can into a tulip.

Pours only a bit hazy medium gold with a finger and a half foamy head. Settles quickly. Good retention on the lacing, however. Visible carbonation is otherwise limited.

The aroma is muted but pleasant. Tropical notes forward--mango, pineapple and passionfruit. Hints of citrus--lemon, lime, orange. White stone fruits (peach, apricot) as well. White grape and hints of white pepper also. Some crackery malt and spicy yeast.

The flavor follows the nose, but somewhat more muddled, and rather sweet for the style. Tropical and citrus notes forward, with less definition, although white peach and pear are present. Plenty of pepper, piney hops, and citrus zest and pith to balance what is otherwise a fairly sweet and juicy brew. The booze is a little strong for the style and the rest of the brew.

Not quite medium bodied, but well carbonated, with a drying finish.

Overall, a solid, if yeomanlike offering.

Good fruity bite almost like mango or pineapple pops with a nice crisp finish and it's quite easy to drink but it's kind of forgettable and not really worth picking up again in my mind.

Weird, for some reason I liked the pineapple-ish taste better than the pineapple-ish aftertaste that this beer left behind. Was thinking while drinking this, that this should be an Aloha Style IPA and not an New England Style IPA.

Hazy pale yellowish. Light body and pleasantly sudsy. It's quite acidic, very sharp. Nose is lemon cake. Citrus flavors, lemon peel, a raw taste in the back of the throat. Really fruity in the "juicy" style. Moderate bitter finish with grapefruit peel in the aftertaste.

Every brewery seems to have to try their hand at the fruit juice raw grain style. I wouldn't say this is an improvement over the average. It's murky tasting, some gunk and heat like grapefruit pith. Still, it's not bad and may appeal to the hop slave. From the 12 oz can purchased in the far Northwest.

Sweet, overripe fruit hoppiness on the nose. For me, this is a little over carbonated on the feel and body which interferes with the finding the different notes on the taste This one is a little unbalanced to me and is more of an unfiltered West Coast than it is a hazy IMO.

Odd take on the Hazy style. I did not hate it, but the citrus profile is dominated by sharp notes of lemon. The beer grew more complex after a few sips, but ultimately the lemon is just too prevalent.

12 oz can, enjoy by 11/29/18. Pours slightly hazy straw yellow with a medium creamy white head that retains fairly well and leaves some lacing.

The aroma is very sweet fruity hops with some funky resin.

The flavor is sweet chemical fruit with some wheat malt and a bitter finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and a bit watery.

Overall, a drinkable NE IPA.

Poured into a Trillium glass a pretty nice hazy golden yellow color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one-finger plus white head, which leaves some nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with a nice little citrus complex (orange, tangerine, lemon, pineapple, peach), nice little diesel like. The taste is hoppy, malty, with a nice little citrus complex (orange, tangerine, lemon, pineapple, peach), nice little diesel like. Medium body, ABV is hidden very nicely, with a dry/bitter finish. Overall, a tasty brew.

This could be amusing, a New England Style from the Rockies. I know my geography - I live in between those two places.

It pours a mostly clear yellow with nice fizz. The aroma is weak but clean. The taste is wimpy compared to some overly dry NE styles, but it works for me. I think the result is an easy drinking brew - you could easily suck down a few of these though they are not really all that small.

Recommended. A smaller tasting NE style that should be easy.

12oz can. Poured out a cloudy, golden orange color with a small, white head of foam. It smelled of tropical fruits, vanilla and caramel. Sweet pineapple, mango and orange with a light caramel finish.
