My bro, Gary, came over and brought this over. I guess he liked it and wanted to know it I had it recently on tap when I went to CO on my brewery tour vacation. No, but thanks.

Poured from a 22 oz. bottle with a used by date of 8/29/2013 and got two inches of off-white, creamy head that dissipated slowly.

A: Pours a golden orange color with 2 fingers of off- white head and lots of lacing. Outstanding.

S: Smell of citrus and some floral notes.

T: Mostly floral notes and later some pine but not resin pine smell.

M: Medium carbonation and easy to drink.

O: I have to recommend this and I would have it again: it goes down good. I was excited on the initial pour. Really, The lacing and the head is the best thing about this beer. Overall, it's a better than average beer that is easy to drink in a style that I like.

12oz Can from the Potsdam NY IGA for $2.25

Appearance - Slightly hazy amber colour with a large size fizzy off-white coloured head. There is an average amount of carbonation showing and there is some decent lacing. The head lasted for around 5 minutes before it was gone.

Smell - Malts, caramel, grapefruit, hops

Taste & Mouth - There is an average amount of carbonation and I can taste malts, caramel and hops. There is also some grapefruit flavour. It ends with a malty sweet mildly hopped aftertaste.

Overall - A nice easy drinking beer that has enough flavour to stay interesting. There are some fruity notes and a fair amount off hops. Worth a try.

Looks toasted. Has that clear coppery color. Maybe closer to bronze. Head insulates well.

Husky hops come out with fandangled citrus and floral aromas. Unmasked is a lightly caramelly malt presence. Notes of hemp oil and scruffy toast.

Happily bitter. Jet blast of raw hop leaf, hemp, floral bitterness, toasty grains, light booziness, earthy pine, and citrus pith. Sweetness of the malts can't penetrate this oomph of bitterness. Decent stuff.

Feels right-on. Nearly milky body. Carbonation has an appeal that screams 'bushy-tailed'. Very good.

I like this kind of aggression in a toasty pale ale. It keeps the malts from interfering too much in a hoppy ale.
