From the bottom of the can: "0461 CANNED ON 08/23/18 16:15"

Appearance: The beer is a nice golden orange color. It has decent clarity but there are a lot of suspended particles. The head is a tobacco stained off-white color that has the consistency of sea foam. It has moderate retention and good lacing.

Aroma: It mostly smells of pine and this mix of malt and alcohol. When it was first poured there was a light bit of mango skin aroma but it faded very quickly in favor of the previously mentioned aromas.

Taste: The beer has a very nice grain flavor. It tastes a bit like eating a freshly baked loaf of multi-grain bread with notes of rye and wheat flour. There is a light bit of grapefruit flavor and just a light bit of alcohol.

Mouthfeel: The beer is smooth and at the lower edge of medium-bodied. It has medium bitterness. It is an easy beer to drink.

Overall: It is an enjoyable beer that leans a bit towards the malt-forward East Coast take on the IPA. It is well made and I would both recommend it and drink it again.

A: Amber in color, with a light tan head.

S: Fairly light hop aroma, with citrus being dominant. Grapefruit with a touch of pine, and some caramel malt.

T: Grapefruit and pine, and plenty of bitterness. The malt almost gives it a little bit of a tea like flavor.

M: Medium in body, aggressive carbonation, and a long bitter linger from the hops.

O: Overall, it's a really hoppy amber ale. there you have it. I'm not particularly a fan of it, it's not bad, I just don't get the high ratings.. Seems unnecessarily bitter, and the hop flavor is earthy and meh... I get making an uber bitter beer, I like bitter beers, hell I make them... But this one seems like a miss for me.

I received this from @vidblain in a BIF box. Canned 8/20/2018. Poured into Spiegelau IPA glass. It pours a color something between orange and ruby with a huge, milk-white head and lots of clinging lacing. The nose is decidedly malt-forward. There's not much fruit but a fragrant smell of hops. The taste is interesting: it's malty with roasty barley and a hint of caramel or toffee up front but the complex hop bill of Amarillo, Simcoe, Cascade, and Warrior is bitter and bites hard. It finishes with a bitter after taste. I really like how the bitter hops and sweet malt battle for supremacy. This ale has a nice, creamy mouth feel with pleasant carbonation, and at 6.7% ABV a second pour is a must. Overall, I like this a lot! It's an IPA with an attitude.

Nice IPA and good bitterness. Easier to drink than Todd.
