Poured from a can into a snifter

Appearance- Crystal clear, tawny, copper orange color with a thin layer of residual head. A little lacing on the glass with each sip. A bit on the amber side of pale. Looks great though.

Smell- Bright tangerine citrus and pine resin blend nicely with robust toffee and sharp caramel notes. Anchored by stronger malts, there's a bit more in this one than a standard American IPA.

Taste- Much like the smell, big citrusy, crisp hop bitterness hits first, but is quickly met by a strong caramel body. The result is great- a spicy, full IPA with a ton of flavor going on. Almost like a brightly dry-hopped, lighter Scottish ale. Great stuff here for sure.

Mouthfeel- Smooth and viscous with an appropriate amount of carbonation. The fizz adds to the intensity of the flavor profile. Great balance.

Overall- A great brew with a lot going on from start to finish. Flavors start big and bright, and remain for the whole drinking duration. The malt character comes out a bit more as the beer warms up, but nothing ever dominates. A very well-balanced brew with a lot to offer. Hopheads and malt lovers alike could both enjoy this. Great brew.

This beer has an overall amber color. The head is very thick with a beige/amber color. Aromas of pine, caramels and tea leaves make give this beer an overall earthy tone. Flavors include grapefruit, pine and spices. The aftertaste overall is dry and bitter.
