Dark brown in color, only bits of translucency are on the edges. This is otherwise a very muddy looking beer. The head is a frothy, mocha pillow that falls shortly after being poured.
The fragrance of this beer is wonderful. There is a very powerful, potent brewed coffee sensation. Dancing within that are the scents of vanilla, caramel and cocoa powder.
Right away, a bitter coffee flavor hits. As it slides across your tongue, you experience a thick, gooey glob of molasses-like sweetness. The vanilla I smelled comes out in the flavor too, though slightly more buried.
As the beer warms up, it starts taking on a less bitter, more sweet flavor. The feel is still thick and almost chewy, but very refreshing. This beer couples well with a lot of desserts I make and also stands alone as a fine testament of alcoholic beverages. To sum it up in one word: yum.

16oz canned 09/15/23 (about 2 months ago) poured into a tulip pint glass at fridge temp 5.5% ABV. The beer pours bright medium brown with chestnut highlights and light brown colored head. The head recedes to a thin cap of tight bubbles and leaves sticky lacing. The aroma is moderate in strength featuring dark roast coffee beans, baking cocoa, and hints of sweet toasted malt. The taste is bittersweet roasted/toasted malt with complementary coffee. Minimal finishing bitterness. The mouthfeel is thin bodied with average carbonation and a mostly dry finish. Overall, excellent brown ale.

Tastes as close to cold steeped coffee as I’ve had in a beer.

The beer is a very dark brown with some garnet peeking through. Medium-sized tan head. A little lace.
Coffee aroma, some roasted malt.
Strong coffee taste, espresso. Coffee taste lingers. A little bit of chocolate, some late hoppiness.
Medium-bodied. I liked how the coffee stayed present.
