Drips & Drops pours a brighter, hazy golden color, with a small, but long lasting head. Aroma is dry and fruity. Flavor is dry and fruity, with a hint of bitterness. Good body and feel. Overall, just a very solid NEIPA.

Hazy (no shit) and yellow. Smells like lemon Pine-Sol. Really crisp and dry and easy-drinking, but otherwise seems like a pale ale minus the India part

16oz can canned 4/27/22 into a Spiegelau IPA glass.
L: Pours a thick butterscotch caramel color w/an eggshell white 2.5" foamy head w/a cap, good retention, some thick sticky banding & lacing.
S: Pineapple, mango, berries, caramel, citrus, orange pulp, lemon, light grains.
T: Citrus rind, yeasty malts, grass, light pine, lemon, a hint of bread, very light honey, light alcohol as the beer warms, moderately fruity.
F: Soft, cushy, juicy & wet medium bodied mouthfeel w/a lingering med-long drying finish.
O: I enjoy this beer not as chilled as others in the style. It has an inviting feel with an extremely bright orange flavor wave that is at the gates of being tropical. Has good strong hop volume and it is excellent in it's style.

16oz can. Poured out a clear, golden color with a small, fizzy white head of foam. It left some sticky lace on the glass. It smelled of grapefruit, pineapple, orange peel and sweet toffee/caramel. Nice tropical fruit sweetness with some pine and toasted caramel.

Appearance: Pours a mildly hazy (80% clarity) medium, pale and light orange color with a moderate white head. SRM of 7-8. Not as hazy as I expected. (3.50)

Aroma: Strong aromas of citrus, papaya, mango, Some pineapple. Somewhat tropical. (3.75)

Flavor: Strong and juicy flavors of orange, papaya, mango. Juicy, sweet, with a slight pithy bitterness off the end. (4.00)

Feel: Medium-bodied. Low to Moderate carbonation. A slight pithy astringency off the end. (3.50)

Compared to TG King Sue 4/8/22: Pours a clearer color. More variety in the aroma. More dense and sweet tropical flavors. Less citrus flower, and juice. Slightly more pith and bitterness, less smooth. Winner: King Sue

Compared to Voodoo Ranger Juicy Haze IPA 4/28/22: Pours darker and clearer. Stronger aromas. More tropical and juicy flavors. Less citrus and herbs/flower. Sweeter.

Overall: A decent offering for a brewery not known for making NEIPAs. Nice citrus juice and tropical notes, A peppery bite or hop burn in the end. Some bitter pith off the end, but mostly juicy. . My qualm is that it doesn't really stand out from a Macro-IPA. For $4 a pop, certainly not. I'm often disappointed with Surly in the IPA department and this one is no different. It'll do, but I'd hope to see some improvement in the future. (Rating: 3.86)

Pours hazy light gold with a decent but quickly dissipating head. Good lacing.

Aromas of pineapple, orange, mango, peach, a bit of grapefruit, chive.

Pina colada pineapple/coconut flavors meld with orange zest and peach. Pretty juicy. Yet there's some herbal notes on the finish that keep this from juice-bomb territory.

The oats aren't just for show. This has a nice smooth creamy mouthfeel as well. Medium full bodied.

I've been enjoying Surly's use of oats as a texture. This isn't an icon in the making, but it's excellent across the board, especially at the price point.
