With 200 reviews on Jaipur, I can't add much.
Jaipur also has been reviewed in Roger Protz' CAMRA classic "300 Beers To Try Before You Die!" and also in the "1001" book. I have Had Jaipur three times and increased my initial rating slightly based on smell and taste.
Jaipur went very well with Indian food and southeast Asian food.
Versatile and I will have it again.

A bottle poured into a tulip glass.

Appearance: They take the word pale very seriously as far as I can tell. A straw-golden colour which is quite hazy. Beautiful lacing around the edges and nice head retention.

Smell: I'm getting very floral smells, almost like lavender. A little sharp orange peel citrus with some slightly piny notes. A little bread-y malt.

Taste: The floral smell gives way to really juicy citrus and light bread-dough like malt. Near the end the orange-citrus quickly becomes a little sour (like lemon) and then hits a really deep grapefruit bitter. A light copper note too. Complex, but subtle hops over a nice light malt.

Mouthfeel: A little watery and light with a low carbonation. I suppose it might be better on cask! Still fits the style and is quite nice, just not as great as the rest of the beer.

Overall: A really complex bit of IPA. Lots of subtly which shows off the strong distinction between big brash American IPAs and their often overlooked British/English cousins. The sweet flower aroma and the wide array of citrus flavours make this a good example of the skill and subtlety of English brewing.

Color- hazy sunshine. Full head.

Aroma- floral, hints of pineapple, and hint of bread.

Taste- a gentle, sublime English IPA. Starts with a hoppiness that balances between mild citrus and floral, then transitions to an effervescent farmhouse ale with notes of earthiness, and finishes with mild lemon-like hops. Has some similarities to a Belgian IPA but with more balanced hoppiness.

Poured from 500 ml bottle into a Liefmans Goudenband glass (my preferred all purpose beer tasting glass). Tasted July 2014. Purchased at Whole Foods in Austin.

Purchased after a very high recommendation and I did not know what to expect.

A surprise from the get-go, the beer pours with a very hazy blonde body with small head with big pockets. The head reduces to thin rim around the edge of the glass, and I'm getting no lacing, but that could be me. The nose is great with grapefruit hoppiness and tart lemon-y grassy, sour yeasty smells.

Very dry IPA which is an awesome way to go, highlighting the hops even more. Great bitterness and resin-y flavor with moderate-medium body with fair carbonation. This beer is excellent and I applaud it. Bravo, Thornbridge.

500 ml bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours cloudy golden orange color with a nice 1-2 finger dense white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Good soapy lacing clings to the glass. Aromas of big pineapple, orange, mango, lemon, herbal, floral, grass, grapefruit, bread, and earthy spiciness. Very nice aromas with good strength and balance; very pleasant. Taste of big grapefruit, orange zest, bread, herbal, floral, grass, mango, and earthy spiciness. Good amount of herbal bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, bread, herbal, floral, grass, and earthy spiciness on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic flavor balance of malt sweetness/bitterness; with zero astringent hop flavors. Medium carbonation and body; with a fairly creamy and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with almost no warming noticed after the finish. Very smooth and drinkable. Overall this is a highly excellent English IPA! Great flavor balance and hop complexity; and extremely smooth to drink. A highly enjoyable offering.

Pint at JDW Sutton (Surrey)

A: Fairly pale, Initally cloudy which cleared into a moderate haze, moderate retention and lacing.

S: Sour apples and citrus.

T: A hit of bitterness which kept on giving, some apple and tomato long lingering bitter finish.

M: Crisp, low carbonation, bitterness which gave a slightly coarse edge.

O: A good pint, it required a few sips to adjust to the bitterness, but at that point it became very quaffable.

Served on-cask from The Porter in Atlanta, GA

A: Pale straw with two finger wide white head.

S: Hops and some bread. Not overpowering as an English IPA should be.

T: Hops, with some malt smoothness at the end. I could taste a bit of citrus although nothing specific as it was very mild but noticeable. Overall, great taste.

M: Dry and not as bitter as I was expecting.

D: Very drinkable.

Im not getting the hype on this one. Light in color. Smells funky like a farmhouse ale. Tastes about the same. Slightly bitter. Plenty of carbonation. If it didn't say IPA on it, I would think I was drinking a farmhouse ale. Maybe it's old.... Was new at a respected bottleshop tho.
