Pours medium brown, single finger tan coloured head. Very clear. Aroma of toasty malts, caramel, toffee. Taste of caramel, toffee, toasted malts, some spice...very nice!

Poured into english pint.
Pours clear copper beer with nice beige rocky head, excellent retention. Aroma - not intense, toffee, caramel, nutty. Taste - toasted malts, marmalade, nice hop bitterness in the finish. Medium body & carbonation.
Pros - adequately balanced, unexpectedly bitter.
Contras - weak smell, consider ABV is a bit low. Having a heavy dissonance whether it is an ESB, english strong ale or an old ale.

Served gold from 500ml brown bottle into straight pint glass.

A) Dark brown, half an inch of off-white head, dissipates quickly, but thin head remains.

S) Served cold, but getting liquorice-type dark malts. Inviting. When it warms up a bit, fruitier tones are evident.

T) Malty, slightly bitter, fruity aftertaste. This is a tasty beer, very well balanced; I am well happy.

M) Moderately carbonated; the body is fairly thick and coats the tongue. Yummers.

O) Tasty and 5.1%, defiantly above whatever tax thresholds apply these days without compromising. Recommended.

Bottled
Dark Brown in colour, Reddish against light. Very heavily malted; roast (burnt) malts, lots of caramel, coffee, nuts, hint of chocolate. Fruity; raisins, dried fruits. Hoppy; grassy hops. Roast malty throughout; sweet initially leading to a bitter finish

Appearance: Dark chestnut; frothy beige, medium-sized head

Aroma: bready; coffee notes; peppery hops

Taste: Bitter, juicy malt on start; bittter, dry, nutty finish; roasted grain notes like a stout

Remarks: Did not score A, T, S, M at that time; disregard those scores
