Handpump halfpint at the Sun in Drury Lane.
A: Clear deep amber body under a 1/2" of frothy (but persistent) light-tan foam. Nice thick lacing, too. Pretty ale.
S: Fairly assertive herbal + earthy hops right away with some breadiness underneath. Fairly standard + forgettable.
T: Much maltier than the nose, with caramel + toffee joining the breadiness; plenty of fruity esters as well, with apricot and pear standing out. The hops come back on the long bitter finish. Nicely balanced and reasonably complex.
M: Solid enough bitter, but not really outstanding. I wasn't moved to order another, but would certainly recommend that anyone try it once.
Cheers!

I absolutely loved this beer. The light taste, light feel, and relatively low ABV made this an excellent session beer. A medium maltiness gave way to a sweet, floral taste that was in no way overpowering. The fact that it was available on a hand-pump made it all the more appealing.

Bright Ruby Colour with a white to off-white head. Aroma is fruity and hoppy, with pears, grapes and a slighlty floral character. Taste is estery and hoppy, with a slight deciduous fruit tone, perhaps a mix of pears and apples, a little ambiguous. Also slightly nectary and flowery, almost honeysuckle.
Aftertaste is citrussy, smoky and dry. Mouthfeel is good, but sour aftertaste does hinger the drinkability slightly.
