ill give badger this much, they brew some interesting beers. that doesnt make them good, however. this was in the category of ambiton not matching results.

as people have said in previous reviews, mammoth peach presence to the point of saturation. even the color is peachy looking. its quite fizzy also, which makes this alot like a peach cooler. i did sense some melon and grapefruit in aroma and taste, but the peach was too overwhelming. alas no rreal malt to speak of either. if it wasnt for some hops on the finish, this could hardly be called a beer.

pretty disappointing stuff really. i guess the peach wouldnt worry me so much if it adhered to the basic principle that any of these kinds of beers. there has to be a great brew behind it. golden glory doesnt. that tells the whole story.

500 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.5%. Deep golden to amber colour, moderate white head. Distinct and beguiling aroma of ripe peaches / peach flowers, even peach candy - not quite what you expect in a beer, though. The flavour is fruity with moderate notes of peaches and zesty hops (can’t identify the alleged notes of melons). Not too sweet, not too bitter (actually, slightly MORE bitterness wouldn’t hurt). Soft mouthfeel, refreshing and pleasant to drink. A nice change-of-pace beer.

I had a bottle of this in the UK. Yes, it tastes like peach, but it is not especially sweet. It tastes a bit like an unsweetened peach tea. The bottle I had was clear, which enabled me to view the golden colored beer.

From bottle. Pours Clear golden orange with a large white head that dissipates to a thin ring. Aroma of peaches and malt. Taste definitely get the peach and melon. Very good.

Golden amber, half a finger of head that disappears to nothing. Peaches and nectarines are overwhelming in both aroma and taste. Decent mouthfeel.

Regrettably this beer doesn't really work; the flavour is too sweet for starters, but more to the point it is too artificial. It's as if someone has taken a regular pale ale and added fruit cordial to it. Unfortunately I've had similar feelings about other Badger beers: overwhelmed by one, specific artificial flavour.

Wonderfully peachy flavors. My review may be tainted for nostalgia from drinking this on many a summer night.
