New 2016 vintage 375ml cork and cage bottle served at cellar temps in a teku

Appearance: ruby red and hints of brown with plenty of carbonation, nice off white head.

Nose: sour cherries, vinous, strait lacto sourness, not terribly complex, other dark fruits like currants and cranberries

Taste: follows the nose very well. Not too sour but it is the one note Lacto sourness and no Pedio body that I can find. The fruity notes are very nice and the barrel does add a bit of complexity.

Overall: nice beer to enjoy on a hot day or while studying for a certification exam (hint hint). I would recommend this to a friend who likes lacto sours and doesn't want to get blown away by sour.

On tap at Barbara's At The Brewery in Los Angeles, CA.

Pours a slightly murky reddish-brown with a foamy bone colored head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Small streaks and patches of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is sour, tart, and funky with some malt and vinegar aromas. Taste is much the same with a really acidic finish. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a very good beer that is really tasty and drinkable.

On-tap at Beachwood Brewing

A: The beer pours a light amber color with a finger of white head.

S: There is a light vinegar note up front which is quickly followed by butter and pancake syrup. There's a little bit of a funky grass note and a touch of popcorn.

T: Quite a bit of popcorn flavor to it, and just as much grass and straw. A bit of lemon peel and vinegar give it the tartness. Still, that misplaced syrup, butter, and pancake flavor.

M: Light in body with medium carbonation.

O: So far, these Telegraph sours have been lackluster and this was no exception.

On-tap at Beachwood I, no one can find any information on this so I'll review it the best I can,

A: Pours a clear amber with a light white head which leaves good lace.

S: Vanilla and cherries, quite oaky and wine like at times.

T: Oak heavy flavour. Vannilin with some orange candy and a hint of cherry and cranberry.

M: Light-bodied, definitely on the thin side. Good acidity, but it doesn't save the watery feel of this beer.

O: An OK sour, there are parts I liked, but compared to Telegraph's other sour beers I found it lacking.
