From the growler pours a hay yellow colored beer with a hefty off white head that holds well. Smells of spicy hops with a strong malt base of bread.
The spicy hops sit at the forefront of my tastebuds with a slight hint of lemon. Finishes with a doughy sweetness. The mouthfeel is light with moderate carbonation. A great representation of the style from an American brewery. The growler was great to share during this past world cup.

A: The beer is slightly hazy yellow in color and has a moderate to high amount of visible carbonation. A careful pour resulted in a two finger high bright white head that died down, consistently leaving a half finger high head covering the surface and lots of lacy rings of bubbles down the sides of the glass.
S: Light aromas of grassy hops are present in the nose along with notes of lemons.
T: The taste is completely unlike the smell and has flavors of lactic acid along with notes of sourness—these mostly stand out in front of notes of grassy hops and hints of grainy malts. No bitterness is perceptible. The sourness seems to mellow a bit as the beer warms up.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and somewhat tart on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer doesn't taste like any other Munich Helles Lagers that I've had before—especially with its sourness—but isn't that bad if you are looking for something that is light and sour.

The big detractor on this one for me is the level of the sweetness. It's almost like a Belgian ale as opposed to a helles. The flavor is full and the carbonation is extremely lively. It's okay as a beer. But as a helles, I feel it is very much lacking.

Pours a hazy pale golden yellow with a medium white lasting head and some lacing. Aroma of citrus, lemon, grassy notes and some light biscuit malt. Taste same as aroma with some light sour notes and some bitter notes. Palate is a light body with low carbonation. Finish is sweet biscuit malt, citrus and lemon flavor, grassy and a light sour notes with a touch of bitterness. Overall an ok average brew.

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a golden color with a very small head. Smell is of grains and malts. Taste is crisp, malts and grains, some hops are present, a tad bitter at the finish. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a pretty good beer.

12 oz bottle. Pours slightly hazy deep golden with a short-lived white head. Aroma is of dough, some fruitiness and slight hints of hops. Body is medium and smooth. Bready malt and herbal hops fill the mouth, some lemon zest as well. Finish is long and dry. The brew is more bitter and fruity, than ordinary Helles, but it should be quite enjoyable for lager lovers.
