Tasted on-tap 06/04/07 at the Lucky Labrador Bewpub in Portland, OR.
Tawny brown in color with a nice tan head and good carbonation. A nicely balanced nutty and malt aroma and flavor. Medium-light bodied and smooth with a dry malt finish.
A solid English Brown Ale.

Very deep amber body with a slight head made up of tiny bubbles. Carbonation is quite active within the beer. Dull, but pretty.
Aroma is a mixture of mild cereal and peat. The smokey aroma is just enough to make it interesting.
The taste is very neat, hops contribute nicely, rounding out the flavor with a crispness. The body is quite substantial, and is the flavor mix of an amber but with stronger smokey, peaty characteristics that create a great beverage.
