Pours a bright golden color with a decent amount of bubbly white head that fades away to a thin layer rather quickly. I can't smell a whole lot on this one, a very very faint whiff of noble hops, but that's about it. The taste is better. There's some noble hop flavor, and just enough bitterness to compete with the mildly malty sweetness. The mouthfeel is fairly creamy, very nice for a lager. Overall, it's a very drinkable beer. Next time I'm looking for a midstrength, I'll probably grab this again.

330ml brown bottle. 3.5%abv. best before date not legible.

looks decent. clear golden color. medium carbonation forms smallish white frothy head.

nice hoppy nose, though a bit faint. some grass notes come through, with a bit of malt sweetness to counter.

full flavored with a good malt base. hops balance things out with just enough bitterness and flavor. nicely done.

very well done. mouthfeel is placed nicely for a beer with so much flavor for so low an abv, if that makes sense. and drinkability? well, id take this over most full strength lagers. and on a hot day...ahh.

Straw filtered with slow rising bubbles, topped with 2 fingers of glassy white head.

Smells of malt, fresh hay, clean and crisp.

Taste follows the nose and is rich and complex for such a low abv.

Medium body, moderate carbonation.

In the fridge at our airbnb in Perth tonight, offered through our host. Drinking Aug 20, 2017.

This pours a dark straw colour. Clear. Minimal head.

Sweet and malty on the nose. Not a lot of hops.

Lots of honey on the palate but not too sweet. A bit of hoppy bitterness in there.

Quite a bit of body which I wasn't expecting for a midstrength.

Nowhere near as good as Little Creatures Rogers' but way better than a XXXX Gold and its ilk.

A: Pours a clear pale yellow Cole with a small head that fades quickly to no lacing.

S: Aroma is a bit musty with some malt sweetness and grain and bit of citrus.

T: Taste of mild citrus, malt sweetness an grain. Decent bitterness and a clean finish.

F: Light body, crisp clean and refreshing. Comes up a bit short on flavor.

O: Not a lot here but better than many of the big brewers offerings.

Bottle indicates a " Mid Strength" European style Pilsner. Brilliantly clear light golden with a fluffy white head on the pour. Light aromas of spicy noble hops, and a very slight sourness that I can't put my finger on. Taste like a German Pils should, perhaps leaning a little toward the sweet end of the spectrum. Taste mainly dominated by spiciness and smooth but crisp bitterness in the finish. Only blemish is a very slight vegital note in the finish. Nice light to moderate mouthfeel which is well complemented by the carbonation. For a mid strength Pils, I think they have done a commendable job.

a) rocky white frothy head, pale gold, nice bubbling
s) spicy hop, slightly metalic, pale malt, slight sulfur/dirty diaper funkiness
f) malty, light spicy honey, caraway, herbaceous, medium bitterness
m) medium body, lacking mid/back palate...."hollow"
d) refreshing, long summer session beer, nice cold

Pours a pale golden colour, thin bead up the middle. Head is made of little but visible bubbles, sinks pretty much steadily into nothing. Lacing is fairly thin, nothing to kick your heels together with joy over. Nor is this appearance in general.

Nose is reasonably pilsenery but more distinctly honey-ale-esque, big whiff of sticky yellow box bee vomit on that, trimmed just slightly by a reasonably floral hop aroma. It takes the edge off slightly, but not enough - leaves a very sweet nectary fragrance, and makes it quite blah.

Taste has a similar honey flavour throughout the palate, but it's more complex and more airtime is given to the hops which just clamp down the palate with a herbal, slightly aniseedy quality halfway. Modestly ashy finish. While the honey is there, it's more of an afterthought to a decent buttery malt which is evident somewhat in the flavour, but mostly in the decently thick and rich body, which holds the palate well in the mouth. For a midstrength beer, this is a very, very decent mouthfeel, and the finish - while being a bit quick to arrive - is clean and doesn't linger, making this a fairly refreshing brew.

At 3.5% this obviously isn't going to crack any flavour records, but for what it is it's actually pretty decent. Simple, but unpretentious and a clean drop. Definitely worth a try.

Appearance - Light gold, high carbonation, 2 fingers of head with decent retention.

Smell - Weak, but hops are detectable.

Taste - Low on hops and fairly bland, but easy to drink and better than your average Australian lager.

Mouthfeel - Good carbonation and texture.

Drinkability - Great session drink.

Overall - Another fairly bland WA pilsener, unfortunately.

A great fluffy white head over a deep gold lightly carbonated beer that leaves thick tendrils of lace down the glass, makes for an appealing looking drink.
The smell is sharp with ahint of metal which is all underpinned by a malty backbone.
The flavour is like the smell , however manages to lose any metallicc flavours. The malt is subdued leaving the mouth cleansed and refreshed, without the sticky cloyiness that can occur .
Overall I really enjoyed this mid strength offering. It hs enough flavour to ponder and is easily drinkable over a period of time

clear golden colour with a one-finger white foamy head. Taste of sweet malt followed by a very faint hops bitterness. Light body. A crisp, clean, smooth, light flavoured beer.

Appearance - 4.0
Pours a finger and a half of bubbly white head that steadily reduced. Looks highly carbonated, the colour is a yellow-gold, quite bright.

Smell - 3.0
A pretty run of the mill lager aroma at first, but it gets a bit better with warming. Plenty of hop bitterness, grains, some malt, and perhaps a slight trace of floral hops and toffee.

Taste - 3.0
Refreshing, but not a great taste by any means. Slightly sweet with decent malt flavour that lasts, stale bread, grass, a whisper of fruit, plenty of hop bitterness and a finish that is unnecessarily and overly dry.

Mouthfeel - 3.5
Moderately carbonated, quite crisp, but as before mentioned it is too dry. Weight in the mouth is moderate.

Drinkability - 4.0
Scores brownie points for being just 3.5% ABV, but loses them for being overly dry and not as tasty as it should be. A good session beer for some, especially on a hot day.

OVERALL - 3.35
Better than average for a midstrength, but also barely a craft beer, as it doesn't taste a whole lot different from the macro options. I would drink this at a party, but would be reluctant to pay for it, as there are much better beers for a similar price. Probably not a bad beer for getting people into drinking beers other than the Toohey's, Swan and CUB offerings.
