Walking along the road to Weltenburger Kloster, you come across a random shop that sells souvenirs and, importantly, Klosterbrauerei Weltenburg beers. This beer was on my holiday wishlist, and I had been disappointed to find none available fresh at the brewery. The random souvenir shop had me covered, though. I drank this beer three days later at a camping ground outside Rothenberg ob der Tauber.
L: Mango-yellow with a thick, white head. The beer is opaque, and no carbonation can be seen in the glass.
S: Cloves, banana, mango, apricot I had never encountered the aroma or taste of apricots or mago in hefeweizen imported to Australia before, and I grew to love that aspect of drinking them fresh in Germany.
T: Very similar to the nose. A slight clovey bitterness hits retronasally, but otherwise, it's fruit, fresh and refreshing. Very nice!
M: Mouthfeel is smooth but slightly thin in the mouth. Carbonation is minimal. This beer could be drunk very quickly.
O: This is another fruity German hefeweizen drunk near the source and far fresher than we normally get in Australia. As a result, the fruity taste profile is more dominant than the usually clove-dominated profile we get when these beers are imported. Very nice!
Cheers!

Look: Fairly clear copper with a dense off-white head that explodes to the rim and settles to a pillow, leaving great lacing behind
Aroma: Banana, clove, wheat bread, and some bubblegum
Taste: Follow the nose well with a barrage of wheat malt, bread, banana, and clove and to me, the clove really jumps out in the flavor compared to the banana. Bubblegum weaves in and out throughout and closes with wheat bread
Mouthfeel: Full, soft, medium-high carbonation, and a silky soft finish
Overall: I dig it. Another new-to-me Weissbier and a winner in my book that checks all the style boxes nicely and is definitely tasty and well-made. The clove aspect is pretty strong so if that isn’t your thing, keep that in mind but otherwise, this is worth checking out

November 2007: 500 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal pub, Stavanger. Contract brewed for Weltenburger by Brauerei Bischofshof in Regensburg. ABV is 5.4%. Very pale straw colour, slightly hazy, huge head. Lovely typical Hefe-Weissbier aroma, notes of cloves and banana / bubblegum. The flavour has also banana and cloves, hints of lemons, light bodied, minimal hops.

500ml bottle.
L: Hazy, dark gold colour with several streams of bubbles rising to a couple of fingers of white head. No lacing.
S: Cloves, a hint of banana and some orange zest. Kind of light though.
T: Citrus is more pronounced in the flavour, although still not strong. Again there’s just a hint of banana and yeast to remind you this is a hefeweissbier.
F: Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, soft mouthfeel but some sharpness in the finish.
O: A pleasant, easy-drinking weisse. Not necessarily a standout in a category with a number of amazing German offerings but super refreshing and highly approachable.

Lable hasn't changed one bit since ^2002, good looking/trad.
L- Dark gold/lighter amber, pours with minor haze and 3mm white head.
S- Some spice notes, a bit bready.
T- Bready malts, quite toasty too, some of the usual Weisse spice notes. It has a bit more richness to it than anticipated.
F- Good for autumn, like a 'lager' but with more going on, more character and meat on it's bones.
O- Pleasant enough, but not really doing enough for me to warrant buying this again as a bit of a specialist import.
500ml bottle. BB: 31/12/2021 Bought from BeersOfEurope/UK for home delivery.

500ml bottle served in a pint glass. Stamped 325J1247, but I have no idea what that means.
Pours a moderately cloudy light amber color with a huge head. Had to pour and wait several times to get the whole bottle in my glass. Smell is banana, clove, light caramel, lots of yeast.
Taste is along the same lines, but milder. The banana and caramel come across more than the clove or the yeast, the yeast more than the clove.
Mouthfeel is light and airy. Overall, it's not bad, but probably not something I would seek out again.

Had this alongside a tomato, prosciutto, strawberry, and basil salad yesterday, and it was really good. I Would recommend it, based on that experience. It was also pretty clear. I wonder if that last bottle was old or something.

Pours hazy orange beer with nice off-white head, long retention.
Smell - banana, grain.
Taste - follows the smell, rather plain, no spiciness, no clove.
Medium body and carbonation, dull and watery.
