A - Clear straw coloured body, with two fingers of glowing white head which hangs around for the duration, nice lacing.

S - Mild grassy hops, salty malt and citrus.

T - Follows the nose with a touch more intensity, a pretty typical German pils character of dry cracker malt, some lemon and grassy hops.

M - Thin body, high carbonation. Refreshing.

O - Crisp and clean, lacking a little in character but it's an easy drinking warm weather guzzler and it does that well.

Big thanks to Dan for this beer he turned me on to for busting ass so hard at work.

Pours an almost clear white gold with a billowy head of purest white that gradually relaxes to a thick topper. Crazy lacicles cling to the glass, making bubbly skeleton arms that last for the ride.

Full strength aroma featuring bready malt sweet, rounded yeasty tang, spicy noble hop, hints of a lemony tart under it all.

Noble hop spicy bite hits first, carried along by caramel, sourdough, a bit of herbal bitter, and underlying earthiness that is very appealing. End of sip is just juicy enough, just dry enough. Nice.

Light bodied but full of flavor, just as a great Pils ought be, low carb. despite its look, excellent finish, very refreshing, with a clean and earthy linger.

Excellent Pils, highly satisfying, bursting with flavor, a treat that is recommended without reservation.

A - Spot on for the style, clear bright yellow in color with a full half inch of sticky white head.

S - Somewhat skunky with an herbal hop note and some cracker like malts.

T - Not really loving this something about it tastes off, skunked off. It's like a cracker like sour dough taste mid palate. Finish is great with some herbal hops.

M - Can't bash the mouthfeel it's light, somewhat refreshing, and crisp.

Overall I guess I like my Pilsners more malt forward with less skunked lager or pilsner yeast. Still not bad for the $1.75 I paid for it.

A: Poured with a large, frothy white head that diminished slowly to 1/2-finger size or so. Body is bright yellow and mostly clear, with a slight haziness to it. A very good-looking pilsener.

S: Aroma, however, is pretty fluent with cooked corn. A slight bitterness lingers.

T: Despite how attractive it looks, this is a pretty basic pilsener in terms of flavor. Cooked corn again. Crisp, slightly dry finish.

M: Light-to-medium bodied with a slightly creamy texture, and average-to-soft carbonation.

D: Easy to get down at first, but the corn becomes a little sickening by the time you're through. I don't think I'd rush to get it again.

Poured from 16.9 ounce bottle into pilsner glass.

A - very pale and slightly hazy straw color with a small, but robust and long-lasting head refreshed from continuous bubbling up the glass; impressive amounts of lacing remain throughout the session

S - the aroma is not especially strong, but it has a very pleasing bready or cereal grain character

T - on the front end, there is an unfamiliar (to me, at least) and slightly malty flavor, but the beer finished with a good bitterness and leaves a touch of the malt sweetness

M - despite the steady flow of bubbles, there is surprisingly little 'zip' from the carbonation and the beer is silky smooth (almost too much so), and it is just sticky enough for the flavor to linger from sip to sip

O - the Weltenburger Pils is very tasty and a pleasing beer to drink quickly and en masse.

Poured into a flute. The color is pale yellow, the head white and full, though not dense.

It smells like a grainy lager. It tastes much the same with subtle hints of banana. There is not much to the mouthfeel, it is light and dry.

Not a smashing pils but not a really bad one either.

Pours clear golden beer with excellent white head, lingering for a very long time and leaving lots of laces. Nicve floral hops aroma, good part of salty malts. Taste is actually bitter: malt into somewhat citrusy and mineral body with great hop final accord. Good carbonation and medium body.

This one pours a lightly cloudy tinged bright gold in color with a bright one finger head. It smells of pilsner malts and like butter. What is it with me and finding beers with a diacetyl issue. At least with this one it isn't overpowering, it's just noticeably there. Perhaps this bottle is too old to feature any hops. The flavor is of sweet and salty pale malts. The butter comes through just enough but it doesn't ruin this one. It drinks pretty smoothly and is what I'd call medium in body, and isn't as light as most pilsners. This one is just ok in my opinion.

A - mostly clear straw golden, fluffy white head retained nicely
S - strong leafy, slightly metallic, herbal, and grainy
T - classic clean leafy hop flavour, light herb and pepper notes, mineralish, and grainy malt
M - light, crisp, and clean with a medium dry finish
O - has all the characteristics of a crisp dry pilsner with a little more oomph on the hops, this would make a great session beer

It pours a hazy, pale, golden colour with a nice foamy head on top.

Some light caramel notes are present in the aroma. There is a nice crisp kind of grainy smell going on in the background too.

The flavour is kind of mild. Grainy up front and slightly sweet with some fruity/toffee notes coming through. Nice hops come through in the background.

Overall, this isn't doing much for me. It's an okay beer, but quite forgettable

Light gold body with a thick, rocky, white head; clinging lumps of foam adhering to the glass. Fresh hop aroma; grassy with yeast and light malt notes. Light cereal grain flavor with an excellent balance of hop bitterness. Medium-light body; clean and crisp.

A truly fine example of a classic German lager style. Everything comes together nicely and creates a very enjoyable, thoroughly satisfying pilsner package.

A very traditional pilsner. Its quite refreshing. Appearance is nice with a slight cloud. Smell is pleasant reminding you of fresh hops before a brew. Taste is clean, very enjoyable. The carbonation was spot on for me. A great pilsner in a sea of imitations.

I bought a case of this at an insanely low price--never heard of it, but had to jump on it. As it turns out, a wise move.

Appearance: It pours a slightly hazy blonde with a fine dense cloudy white head that stays on and leaves lacing.

Smell: Invitingly strong malty Teutonic notes that ends with a bit of spicy, almost peppery hop finish.

Taste: Sweet malt and just as the nose told you; a peppery hop sizzle at the very end.

Mouthfeel: Very light.

Overall: Very satisfying. This is a great German Pilsener--a perfect example of what a Pilsener should taste like. One day when I take my dream beercation to Germany I'll be pouring a lot more of this stuff down my neck.

Beautiful clear straw with a frothy white head that laces well. A bit lighter color than I was expecting. Smells of sweet biscuits, grass, and spicy Noble hops. Tastes similar with a little more than expected spicy bitterness. Light feeling, well carbonated. Overall, this is a good Pils, but not one of my favorites to represent a classic style. Prost!
