Beautiful clear straw with a frothy white head that laces well. A bit lighter color than I was expecting. Smells of sweet biscuits, grass, and spicy Noble hops. Tastes similar with a little more than expected spicy bitterness. Light feeling, well carbonated. Overall, this is a good Pils, but not one of my favorites to represent a classic style. Prost!

Bottle from New Seasons.

A clear straw yellow with a dense, white head with excellent retention and lacing. The nose is great. Bright and snappy with a touch of dough, and with a wonderful light floral, lemony hop character with just a touch of earth. The palate opens soft and doughy, with a little bit of honey, a light bitterness (earthy, a touch of dust), a blend of honey and soft pils malt. The mid-palate is clean, light, soft and refreshing. Drying, mildly bitter on the finish with a touch of dough, this beer feels great on the palate. Delightful beer, not has hoppy as, say, Jever, but remarkably made (think Aktien-like).

Cereal grains at the forefront on this brew. Sweet malt in both aroma and taste, pale golden with thin white head, lots of fine carbonation. Not as hoppy as some of the other German and Czech varieties, more North American.

Big thanks to Dan for this beer he turned me on to for busting ass so hard at work.

Pours an almost clear white gold with a billowy head of purest white that gradually relaxes to a thick topper. Crazy lacicles cling to the glass, making bubbly skeleton arms that last for the ride.

Full strength aroma featuring bready malt sweet, rounded yeasty tang, spicy noble hop, hints of a lemony tart under it all.

Noble hop spicy bite hits first, carried along by caramel, sourdough, a bit of herbal bitter, and underlying earthiness that is very appealing. End of sip is just juicy enough, just dry enough. Nice.

Light bodied but full of flavor, just as a great Pils ought be, low carb. despite its look, excellent finish, very refreshing, with a clean and earthy linger.

Excellent Pils, highly satisfying, bursting with flavor, a treat that is recommended without reservation.

From Hipercor. In Paulaner glass. Playing Memoria. One of the best pilsen Ive tasted. Good aroma and taste.

Weltenburger Kloster Pils has a thick, foamy, frothy, white head, a mostly clear, sparkling, bubbly, golden appearance, with heavy lacing left behind on the glass. The aroma is of pungent, lemony, sweet grains, and the flavor is of those elements, with biscuit, grassy hops, and noticeable, yet mild, bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium and slick, and Weltenburger Kloster Pils finishes crisp and extremely drinkable.

Golden body with white head that stays. Aroma of sweet grains, floral notes, hints of cream, and vague coriander. Tastes of cereal, floral, cream of wheat, and mild bitterness. Light bodied with light carbonation. Refreshing and as tasty as any pils.
