Appearance: Pours dark brown with a small off white head.

Smell: Nice malty mixture of breadiness/chocolate malts/nuttiness and subtle hints of earthy English hops, very nice nose.

Taste: Bready/nutty malts mix with toffee and chocolate up front. The one finishes with a nice earthy hop note that leaves a crisp bitter bite to the end. A real pleasant porter and an easy smooth flavor on cask.

Mouthfeel: Silky smooth and creamy with a medium to heavy body and a clean finish.

Drinkability: I really enjoyed this one, the nicely balanced flavor is really brought out on cask and makes this an all night easy drinker. They've been really producing some nice cask entries as of late so when in doubt, go with the hand pump.

Samples at the Triumph. Pours dark brown hue with a creamy, brown head. Aroma is of coffee and some dark fruit. The body is very thin, watery and very smooth, no carbonation at all. Coffee and light roasted malt fill the mouth. On the whole, this brew tastes like their watered down Oatmeal Stout, which by itself is not a very good brew.
